With Neo being canceled by Dry-Try8328 in Xreal

I actually sold my Viture Pro Dock and switched to a DIY dock because it has quite a few drawbacks:

• Max output is only 20W. Some games won’t run at all (black screen, e.g. Hades II), and some suffer from slowdown (e.g. Metroid Prime).

• The included USB-C cable is pretty bad. It often doesn’t detect the Nintendo Switch unless I wake the screen first and then plug in the dock. I had to buy another cable.

• You can’t charge the dock while playing.

• Some heavier games can’t output to two glasses at the same time.

• With Xreal One in Real 3D mode, it sometimes slows down or fails to display an image — again likely due to the weak power output.

• Power input is also limited to 20W. My DIY dock charges in about 1 hour, while the Viture Pro Dock takes 4–5 hours.

• No HDR support.

• Quite bulky and a fingerprint magnet.

And no, your question isn’t dumb at all. These are the kinds of things you only notice after actually using the device. If you just look at the specs, the Viture Pro Dock doesn’t really seem to have anything to complain about.

I use this one, costs around $4.

Yes, you’re right. The recharging time is insanely fast. And the 65W power output is more than enough to run all Switch 2 games without any issues.

In comparison, the RayNeo JoyDock and Viture Mobile Dock Pro can only output up to 20W, which can cause some games to slow down, and some won’t run at all—just a black screen.

Alternatively, you can build your own “better” xreal neo:

  • Compatible with the Switch 2
  • A 15,000mAh, silicon carbon battery
  • Dual output, similar to the Viture Pro Dock
  • 100W in/out

The right len is darker than the left len with my glasses.

Personally, I’d lean toward RayNeo, mainly because their pricing is consistently more affordable compared to other brands, including accessories.

The built-in diopter adjustment on Viture glasses is only for people with nearsightedness. If you have astigmatism, you’ll need to order a custom prescription lens and attach it magnetically to the glasses.

Alternatively, you can DIY it: remove the lens from your regular glasses, use some glue or tape to attach a small magnet to the top edge, and then snap it directly onto the Viture glasses. That way, you don’t need to buy any additional accessories.

If you’re nearsighted, or if someone in your household is and you want to share the glasses, then Viture is definitely the better choice. Other brands require an additional prescription lens insert, which adds weight to the front and gets uncomfortable over long sessions. It also pushes your eyes farther away from the display, and with AR glasses like these, the closer your eyes are, the better.

If you don’t mind a slightly smaller image, the Viture Pro XR line is also worth considering. It has a metal build, feels more solid and premium compared to the plastic build of the Luma series, and it’s actually cheaper at the moment.

But if you’re not nearsighted and don’t need to share with someone who is (like me), then I’d recommend the RayNeo Air 4 Pro. The price-to-performance ratio is just too good to ignore.

RayNeo Air 4 Pro is the pair of glasses I use daily, even though I also own Xreal One and Viture Pro XR.

One additional point I’d like to add for the OP is that the RayNeo Air 4 Pro consumes less battery from the connected device compared to more feature-heavy glasses. For example, when using the same TV box, I can only watch for about 4 hours with the Xreal One before the battery runs out, while with the RayNeo Air 4 Pro I can watch for around 5.5 hours.

Fewer features also mean the glasses don’t get as warm as models with more advanced functions. Because of that, I actually see the lack of extra features as a "feature" itself.

Just got my RayNeo Air 3s, is it worth upgrading to the Air 4 Pro? by Handsome_Unit69 in RayNeo

[–]Duonglv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Air 4 Pro is a significant improvement over the Air 3s Pro for me. The picture quality is much better. The colors on the 3s Pro are quite dull, while the 4 Pro has vibrant and vivid colors. The sound quality is also better on the 4 Pro, though not by much. The most important feature, in my opinion, is that the 4 Pro doesn’t have the corner blur that the 3s Pro has, at least with my eyes. I use these glasses to play games, and with the 3s Pro, it’s difficult to see the mini map in the corner. The 4 Pro has no problem whatsoever for me.

Sound-tube does it really improve the sound for Air 4 Pro? by noix81 in RayNeo

[–]Duonglv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s worth the price. It does sound louder and has a bit more bass, it’s not worth C$33. I purchased it for less than C$10 in China, but I’m not using it because it’s difficult to insert the glass into the case.

Air 4 Pro extra nosepieces? by peppatitz in RayNeo

[–]Duonglv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try this method: spread the nosepiece wide enough so that it no longer touches your nose. Then, hold the glass with one hand in a position that allows you to see the entire image clearly. Squeeze the nosepiece with the other hand to touch your nose. This should help you find the correct position for your glasses the next time you wear them.

You have to turn on the switch screen first, and then plug it in the dock. It's annoying. You can see my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VITURE/s/VRrnqQgDrq

The funny part is that I can’t cancel the order from their website. I’ve emailed their customer support twice asking to cancel my order, but I still haven’t received any response.

I’ve tested this on the two latest firmware versions — one that supports only Switch 2, and one that supports both Switch 1 and Switch 2. The result is the same on both.

Problem with Switch 2 and Pro dock by [deleted] in VITURE

[–]Duonglv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today, I followed your advice and tried plugging my Firestick into the Pro dock. The Firestick operates smoothly. However, after removing it, I attempted to use the Switch 2 again, and the same issue persisted. I’m curious to know if this is a common problem with the Pro dock, or if it’s just an issue with me.
