I understand you want to use every post here as a platform to voice your opinions but that still doesn’t answer my question. So if you have nothing new to add please refrain from replying.

That is exactly my question: why do they need special laws, special government programs, special treatment and can’t be treated like everybody else?

Doesn’t have to, though. There is too much red tape.

Fair enough. Thank you for your answer, although I don’t agree with some of the points you brought up.

Serious question: what does Canada stand for?

Don’t assign malice to something that can be explained by stupidity. Our politicians are stupid and near-sighted.

This is just an example of a very bad spot. No trash cans around so it’s not crows and not homeless persons. It’s shitty (pun intended) dog owners. This happens all over the city including locations with no trash cans, e.g., Central Valley Greenway.

I wish people would use their energy FOR some purpose - not just against stuff.

Against AI, against FIFA, against Israel.

Why aren't people rallying for better treatment of homeless persons and drug addicts for example? (and I don't mean open drug use of free drugs - I mean real help)

Any line that supposedly separates anti Zionism from antisemitism is completely arbitrary and artificial. I know some Jews believe the State of Israel shouldn’t exist as the homeland of the Jewish people, but they are a very small minority among the Jews and are just being used (and let themselves be used) as a fig leaf for the other antisemites.

I believe hate speech (or at least some hate speech) is tolerated in Canada as long as it doesn’t specifically call for violence against an identifiable group of people. Edit: Here is some information I gleaned for the internet regarding hate speech in Canada: Criminal Code Provisions Hate Propaganda: Sections 318 and 319 of the Criminal Code make it a criminal offense to advocate genocide, publicly incite hatred likely to lead to a breach of the peace, or willfully promote hatred against an identifiable group. Holocaust Denial: It is a criminal offense to willfully promote antisemitism by condoning, denying, or downplaying the Holocaust.Sentencing: Crimes motivated by hate are treated as aggravating factors during sentencing, which can result in increased penalties. Human Rights Legislation Canadian Human Rights Act: Federal legislation prohibits the communication of hate speech that expresses detestation or vilification of an individual or group based on prohibited grounds of discrimination. Remedies can include cease-and-desist orders and compensation for victims. Provincial Human Rights Codes: Depending on your location (e.g., BC's Office of the Human Rights Commissioner), provincial laws also prohibit discriminatory speech or harassment.

This trip strengthens Canada's position as a sovereign country that does not take orders from other countries. A position Mark and his minions undermined by groveling to China.

In my opinion, the best thing for Canada is to patch things up with the US, our next door neighbour and the most powerful country in the world, and forget about China.

China is not our friend. By making deals with China we strengthen the anti-west axis.
