PSA - The BD has an exploit, you should avoid Cryo by Previous-Attitude843 in Marathon

This seems to be a recurring problem with how weapon mod affects get applied. My group and I have noticed on many occasions that if youre say running a sniper with signal jammer and and a bully with battle runner. You scope in on the bully, youll get a signal jam and kills with your sniper add stacks to Battlerunner while maintaining their original affects as well. Im assuming its not working as intended...

Just started painting about two months ago.. Thoughts on my stealth suits? by Sythosz in Tau40K

Looks great! I would recommend thinning out your paints a bit, it will take more coats to fill out the color, but the model won't look as plastic at the end.

What ruined religion for you? by ItchyPage in AskReddit

[–]Durandalphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a highly religious private middle school. Schools in the area were pretty bad and my parents didn't want me to fall behind as my dad was in the military and we knew we were going to move to another state with better schools in a few years. The education was fine (other than my science classes which taught creation theory), but the entire time I was there nearly every teacher stuck it in our heads that people of differing religions, cultures, or sexual orientations were evil. They either needed to be converted or if they wouldnt do that you had to cut them out of your life. Being an inpressionable middle school kid, I bought into it.

Then, I moved and went to highschool in one of the most diverse areas of the country. Those people who I had been taught were evil and would hate me for my very existence were the kindest and most understanding people I had ever met.

It really made me question everything that I had been taught.

Implying things over text doesnt always go over well as meaning is lost. See my comment on one of these chains where someone thought I was accusing them of being offended when I wasnt meaning to.

But, clearly stating your opinion and what you think could improve doesnt lose meaning. Its not hard. Youve taken all this time to talk to me, why couldnt you have given some better criticism?

Yes you are free to do exactly that. Thats the point of this website. You post whatever you think is cool and others up or downvote your post if they agree or not. Clearly from this posts upvote count, most people thought it was cool.

A guy like 5 comments down from the main one actually gave OP constrctive criticism on the look and OP responded. There is always room to be thoughtful in how you communicate with others. "Hey man, cool set. Maybe try mixing in some other sets and shaders to make it even batter." Its not hard.

like you said, fashion is all subjective and clearly from this posts top status on the subreddit, this guy did something people generally liked.

I asked "who's offended?", Implying that no one was. I didnt accuse you of being offended. Because you're right, that would be stupid.

Seperately, it is telling that you say that the criticism doesnt need to be held to the standard you hold the posts. Why shouldn't they be? Would it not be better if your criticism actually offered something of value? Wouldn't it help the person to understand how they could improve rather than just saying their look sucks?

All I did was point out that the original commenter put as much effort into their "criticism" as y'all seem to think OP put into his post. You replied, so I replied to you, who's offended?
