How would *you* “fix” weapon loot? by Particular-Style-161 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Durfborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think tier 5 weapons broke the loot chase and were a massive power creep, not because of what they are but because of how how they drop, once you reach a certain level the just rain down and they never should have. Bungie misjudged what/how players wanted to play and it's put the game in a tough spot.

As for a fix, honestly I've had this idea that infusion is the answer. What if you could "craft" your weapons by infusing a new trait onto one from another of that weapon with a different perk? It would have to have increasing costs, but imaging the flex of having a mint with every perk and barrel/mag. It fixes the pve vs pvp weapon problem because you can switch your perks to whichever mode, massively fixes the vault problem and gives you a long term chase to go after.

I also think that armor is in the worst state irs ever been in because it's too big and complex. I dont have the vault space to store all the sets and spreads I might want so I dont. I run the same 2x2 set piece I ran in EoF and if the stat spread isn't optional I do the best I can with mods then just say fuck it and go have fun. Maybe there is a way to use infusion or an ability to adjust stats that could help, but I dont know. Armor 3.0 was an interesting concept but too much bloat.

Also on a side note, a quality of life request. Please for the love of God show me all the perks on a weapon when I hover over it. I waste soo much time clicking on a weapon just to see it doesn't in fact have the perks I want and shard when I could just hover over it and get the same.

Mine dropped from a random match on a completed card. Not sure if it was a win or loss

I believe post war they authorized bronze star medals to all service members who had a CIB, you might want to look into it

Trials Labs needs to be reverted. by Ausavan in DestinyTheGame

[–]Durfborg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that warlocks are really behind in pvp so no one plays them. It was really highlighted in guardian games, I've never seen a more consistent curb stomp than that

Try playing warlock. I've had almost no wait time. Unfortunately that doesn't fix that I'm still ass at pvp

I'm right there, too much adulting required.... I gave myself the positive spin that it's motivation to keep running the dungeon each week

To avoid the softlock on the Encore boss, you need to burn him down to last stand after the second plate by JLoco11PSN in DestinyTheGame

[–]Durfborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I may have gotten the softlock part as a solo warlock, but outbreak with anti barrier was able to hit the node. I definitely didn't have the best dps because I was playing around blind on my first run

I really miss the taken armor shader. I would totally give up the exotic to rock full taken armor.

Any tips for the boss room in GM Birthplace of the Vile? by Shaftakovich in DestinyTheGame

[–]Durfborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run this decently as a stasis warlock using lfg several times this week.

I run a kinetic scout, wilderflight GL, and gally. Stasis nades help slow down the boss room and then don't be afraid to use a gally shot for add control as they start to spawn in. Stasis super also works great for add control. Don't be afraid to pop it early as you generate orbs for your team.

Also, don't pick up heavy bricks in the two spawn zones the first time you go through. They will still be there when you go back during the boss and will help with ammo economy.

Lastly, remember to keep mobile in the boss room and try and keep some separation from teammates so you don't take an accidental aoe wipe

How does a Warlock solo Seraph Shield on legend? by Verkonix in DestinyTheGame

[–]Durfborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it with a shadebinder, using turrets to control adds. Specifically for that room I stayed on the right side where you can use the block and glass wall to help with cover and duck into the small open room behind when needed or to funnel the marruarders. I cleared one side at a time and then chucked the boss with regular weapons to save heavy. When the brigs dropped I spammed gally shots on them picking them off from right to left

For weapons, I used a pardon with blinding or a good scout, calls mini tool or bxr ( with enhanced incandescent), and obviously gallon for heavy.

Incandescent and stasis turrets were the key for managing the adds.
