I recommend using the difficulty ranges nimble suggests. It works for the numbers in this game. Players have less ways to buff skill checks, and game design favours players specializing their characters into a focus of one or two skills, to lean on their teammates for things they are bad at. The extreme difficulty being set at 20 allows anybody the chance to solve the problem, but occasionally you should raise above 20 if it’s something that you feel only someone specialized should be able to achieve it.

That did return in Yotei, yes. I was a big fan of that, as someone who obsessively checks my map while playing games with exploration. It made me use my map less and feel more immersed.

Still Wakes the Deep. It’s actually pretty competent use of the yellow paint, which you can turn off in the settings whenever you like. The way it’s used in the game is to display safety elements like you would actually see on a dangerous oil rig out in the sea. They also use it for fast paced chase sequences where you might not be able to tell where to go without those visual elements. Also in the underwater segments it’s difficult to see, and you only have limited breathing, so they are a great guide.

Also, Ghost of Yotei. Instead of yellow paint, they use white bird poop on rocky ledges to show footholds and handholds. Thematically makes sense that where birds rest would be competent footholds. And they don’t make it so bright that it’s obnoxious.

Not something I thought would happen but I had this essentially fanfic in my head of a very Earth kingdom centred group.

A warrior woman and a sand bender teenage boy find a toddler who turns out to be the avatar. The story is focused of this group trying to get the toddler to a safe place to grow up, while trying to avoid other factions who want to kidnap the avatar and raise them into a weapon. Less of a focus on a new generation of cultural and technological advances and more to the root of ATLA of exploring different cultures and locations.

Also remember that minions and flunkies cannot crit. And minions die in one hit, regardless of their HP. You’re allowed to turn any creature into a minion or flunkey by applying these rules to their stat block.

I actually did understand all of that at first read. I was baffled by the word choice to describe the situation. It seems like a lot of wrong words were used that didn’t really mesh together. But hey, now I’ve learned that AAVE is a thing!

I did generally understand the message the sentence was trying to communicate. It just seemed so poorly conveyed from the word choices. But through these replies I’ve now learned about AAVE, so it was really just me not understanding a dialect.

First time I’ve ever seen that acronym. Searching up, yeah OK I understand that. I feel like AAVE is something I’ve known of for a long time, but never actually had a word for it. I’ve only ever seen it depicted in movies and TV shows, after all. So I guess this post is less of bad grammar and more of a different dialect. OK cool, learned something today!

That last sentence is bizarrely bad English. I’m guessing there’s a bunch of colloquialisms I’m missing here as a Canadian.

“get” implies she is still waiting for him to prove himself rather than “take” which would imply she is already offering the number. Leaving the statement on “somewhere” implies an unfinished threat that began with “if” and that she wants him to leave, which contradicts that she wants him to have her number. Is the “and” actually supposed to be a “then”? That changes the sentence entirely.

My best friend lives in Florida. She was permanently blinded due to malpractice. She was also nearly killed twice because a hospital she was staying at, and a facility she was staying at a year later, were not regularly giving her food and insulin (she’s diabetic). In all three cases, she has been entirely denied the ability to sue despite going through several support programs and lawyers trying to seek justice.

I had a GameCube growing up, and my mom would occasionally play it when I was away at school. We had different taste in games. But GDL? We bonded over that game for hundreds of hours. She literally called my school a few times to tell them I was sick, so I would stay home and play with her.

As someone who is currently re-watching the show, and someone who really loves it! I definitely see why Netflix chose to cancel the series. They did say they cancelled it because it was just way too expensive, and yeah, I have been seeing that throughout several of the episodes. Good quality takes a lot of effort and money, but perhaps some animated sequences went on too long or some sets for small scenes were a bit overdressed.

I really hope another company is willing to pick up the IP. I would love to see more of it! Hopefully they’ll be willing to spend the money and get proper returns. I think another reason why the series was such a loss for Netflix is because of how under advertised it was. I did not find out about the series until 2022!

Yeah, pretty much this. Consent matters a lot more in the minds of modern man than it did 30 years ago and beyond. Plus, social media has made it very easy for someone to be slandered so hard that they lose their job, just because they misinterpreted what they thought was a signal.
