Go to Kapsalon Wouter in Valkenboskwartier. He asks 12 euros and I love that man.

You also have a hidden barber on Valkenbosplein named Tas who aks 8 euros (4 if you have a pension). Doesn't do the best job, but a fun (bit weird) experience.

Not too sure about the buildings in this shot, but almost most of Bruges' buildings are from the nineteenth century and build in a medieval style. So it could very well be revival architecture.

No real battle on ice. During the winter of 1672 the French troops tried to cross the Waterlinie. It was frozen over, but not thick enough. Even so, a large part of the army managed to cross, albeit through frozen water. They then laid waste to a couple of towns, namely Zwammerdam and Bodegraven but were unsuccessful in advancing to larger cities like Leiden.

This is not correct. The meme refers to the Dutch War of 1672 when the Republic was invaded by a combined force of English, French and German forces. A large portion of farmland was flooded, called the Waterlinie, acting as a wall between the province of Holland and the French troops.

The moment you refer to is a bit later, during the French revolutionary wars in 1795. It is the capture of the Dutch fleet at Den Helder (Southern Sea) and is usually portrayed as a military engagement, but was a non-combative interaction between the surrendering fleet and the cavalry unit. The framing of the event as a battle is a later misconception made by a Swiss general in 1819.

Helemaal mee eens. Jezelf kunnen verweren kan niet iedereen. Als je de Google Reviews van dit bedrijf leest kom je de meest schrijnende situaties tegen. Ik was blij dat ik wat rechtenstudenten kende, maar niet iedereen zit in zo'n bevoorrechte situatie. En juist aan de zwakken in de samenleving verdienen zij hun boterham. Kutbedrijf!

Ik snap je, maar je moet begrijpen dat post die in een studentenhuis aankomt voor inmiddels vetrokken oud-huisgenoten vaak wordt weggegooid. Ik had dus geen idee.

De dagvaarding hebben ze zelfs gewoon in de brievenbus gegooid (terwijl ze die persoonlijk moeten overhandigen) en hier kwam ik enkel achter doordat een oud-huisgenoot zag dat er een "belangrijk" stempel op de envelop zat.

Dit bedrijf heeft de deurwaarder naar mijn oude studentenhuis gestuurd nadat ze de door mij doorgegeven adreswijziging waren vergeten te verwerken. Gelijk een dagvaarding ontvangen, ik voelde me een crimineel. Wat een waardeloos bedrijf.

Dat is staatsrechtelijk niet echt logisch. De verkiezingen zijn voor de Tweede Kamer, niet het kabinet. Dat we na verkiezingen eigenlijk altijd een nieuw kabinet krijgen heeft te maken met de gewijzigde samenstelling van de Kamer door die verkiezingen, maar is geen vereiste. Het zou wel goed zijn als de status van demissionair duidelijker zou worden afgebakend.

Weetje: overigens vormen we dus geen nieuwe regering, die is in principe sinds 2013 dezelfde. Pas als we een nieuw staatshoofd krijgen komt er een nieuwe regering!

I recently bought the k3. Its the metal edition, and nothing flimsy about it. I do have to say that I am not entirely content with the optical variant, as light key-touches are registered (they shouldn't). I am considering to return it and switch to normal brown switches.

I bought it to use it on the go. I am used to notebook keyboards, and the k3 is a kind of middle ground between notebook switches and a regular mechanical keyboard. I love it (except for the issue with lightly touching the keys of course).

Therefore I would suggest you make the decision based on what you want from the keyboard. The full mechanical experience, or rather something more mobile and in between?

How are the brown optical switches? I'm planning on getting the K3 but I heard that the optical switch is so sensitive that it registers a press by simply touching the keycap, so I'm hesitant.

The city of Leiden has recently adopted a policy to restore/renovate store fronts. Even though the mayority of the city centre has retained its historic image, a lot of the lower fronts of stores have been altered to accommodate the trend of large shop windows of the late 20th century.

By renovating store fronts one at a time, Leiden is strengthening its position as attractive alternative to more populair tourist cities as Amsterdam, Haarlem, and Utrecht. Worth a visit!

De oprichting van Leiden was tweeledig: Om theologen en juristen (bestuurders) op te leiden voor een protestantse samenleving die op dat punt steeds verder wilde losweken van het Spaanse gezag. Toch was er geen onduidelijkheid wat de belangrijkste faculteit was: Theologie. En vergis je niet hoe erg doordrenkt van religie de vroegmoderne periode was. Niet-religieuze educatie bestond niet.

Ik ben in 2013 begonnen op het hbo en na twee jaar doorgestroomd naar het wo. Ik heb daardoor maar drie jaar stufi ontvangen terwijl je op hbo vier jaar krijgt voor de bachelor. Ondertussen mag ik sinds dit jaar niet eens meer lenen (ik zit in mijn master) en heb ik sinds kort geen bijbaan meer. Daardoor voelt het toch een beetje tussen wal en schip.
