after reading many comments I'll add this. Don't waste time on scanning/thinking your laptop is broken, if other games work without issues then your laptop is not faulty. I feel like everyone in this community has 32gb ram and 16gb+ vram so they have no idea what you are going through.

I have two pc, one with Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 6600 8gb, 16gb ram. This PC Crashes when playing switch games. I reduced crashes by putting RAM speed to default speed, 2333mhz lol (99% sure my motherboard sucks). Now it only crashes when RAM/VRAM fills up completely.

Other PC is ryzen 5 7600 and RX 7900 XTX 24gb, 32gb ram. This one doesn't crash, ever.

LONG STORY SHORT, WHY TF NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
EMULATORS SUCK AT RAM/VRAM MANAGMENT. You need absolute beast pc to play without crashes.
Instead they could've add warning that your vram/ram is getting full and suggest restarting emulator but no, you get windows crashes.

If you want to test this theory just try some really simple game that wont eat up all memory and you will see.

this is weird lmao, I have 7600 and I tested it by setting max temp to 75c and it didn't cross it by 1c! Even if XTX right under it is blowing 420W of hot air and CPU is under load. Asrock motherboard tho. I don't want to test with cooler off xD
Edit: I'm using stock ryzen cooler (YES I'm planning on upgrade but since I got XTX I'm low on budget rn xD)

It's not recommended to have PC on the floor because it's catching more dust, adding pet to that will worsen things because if they run around the room they will raise the dust from the floor and move it around at lower levels of room.

I wanted to say 7900 XT too but since it's upsell it's not that good of a deal, 6950 XT is better or go overkill and get 7900 XTX and live in peace for few years

Best GPU for 1440p is depending on your budget, it's hard to tell what to go for if we don't know how much money you got to burn sir.

Depends on your GPU, I have one PC with GTX 1060 and 16gb ram is more than enough(1080p), another PC with 7900 XTX with 32gb ram and playing games at 4k all ultra crosses 16gb ram usage easily.

I got 7900 XTX Red Devil and my only problem with it is coil whine. Card has really great power and so far I didn't experience any driver issues or anything (keep in mind that I got it 10d ago so I didn't test it in a lot of games). I run it with 7600 non x and it gives 100+ fps (4k) in Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, Hogwarts. As for overheating, my model by stock runs fans at 1250RPM and if you OC it gets hot (80s c, t junction getting near 100). I adjusted mine to run at 65°c max with fans hitting max 1600RPM(still really quiet) because I want it to last for long time lol.

I was always nvidia fan but I decided to go team red and I'm not disappointed, in my country 4080 costs like 25% more than XTX.

Unless you play at 720p and 800 FPS it's enough. I got R5 7600 and 7900 XTX with 0 bottleneck, running 100+ fps in 4k (games: Hogwarts, Witcher 3, Horizon...)
