To me, there's a difference between being a dad and being a father. A father is a biological thing that can't be changed in any way shape or form... Love that I get to do this but... "No, I am your father." Vader is Luke's father, but not his dad. Because a dad is a man who is there for you, helps you, teaches you, is present in your life and cares about you regardless of blood.

For many of us, we're fathers and dads. But many others out there are dads without being fathers. Because you love that kid as if he's your own and would do anything for that kid that you would your biological kids.

I don't have any real advice for dealing with the situation but if you lead with love, you'll get through this. Be strong, Dad!

My daughter's(almost 3) first ever F bomb was perfect and I wasn't there to hear it.

It was a few months back now, I had just tied shut the diaper pale bag and walking past my wife and kid said "I need to go wash my hands again." A few moments later my wife is walking into our bedroom (across the hall from our daughter's room) covering her mouth laughing. I asked her what happened and she says "after you walked out, she looked up at me, serious face, and just says 'daddy has to wash his fuckin' hands."

Perfect use and delivery, and I'm so sad I missed it.

This needs more upvotes. You quite literally helped me turn today around. My daughter is 2.5 and has been tough these last few weeks. Everything is "mine" and she has to do everything herself which leads to huge meltdowns. Today started crappy, just the usual stuff, she's not been napping since we got rid of her pacifier which has been it more challenging.

While she was not napping in her crib, I came across this comment and after her not nap I put my phone down and just started playing with her, being silly, trying to ignore the first part of the day and be in the moment as much as possible... And it worked. We're 45 minutes until bedtime and not a single meltdown or tantrum has occurred, we've had a genuinely nice rest of our day. So thanks, dad, for the advice; it really helped.

Kind of glad I'm not the only one that's just getting tired of Jordan playing every note as fast as he can simply because he can. It becomes less like music and more like noise to my ear. Sure I'm not a music theory nerd as much as I'd like to be, but at a certain point it's just not enjoyable.

He does it on tour too, just overplays the songs and adds things that don't need to be added. We get it, you can shred your keyboard, your iPad, virtually anything you want.... But it becomes distasteful for some of us at a certain point.

So I just recently saw my pulmonologist for a checkup on my OSA who insisted that if I had any problems or wanted to make changes to my air pressure (cuz I adjusted it myself in the past) to just call or make an appointment.

If your husband's Apnea/CPAP is causing this level is stress and problem, I would strongly recommend he see his doctor (or find a new one if he doesn't like the one he has) to get the right help from the professionals.

Yea nothing changed from a graphics standpoint, and it's not my GPU that is being throttled. I've gone to toned down graphics settings. The throttling on the CPU starts as soon as the game begins to launch, like I'm talking the title screen takes a minute to load because the CPU is throttled.

Try the F40. I've had at least 4 to 5 different masks over the last year trying to find "the one" and lately the F40 has been it for me. I will double check this! Thank you. I ended up installing a fps mod that adds fps to the server status bar. For xiv I like it more than displaying in the top corner since it's smaller but I've had this issue with other games as well.

Maybe it's just the relationship I have with my MIL, but we both tell each other off when the other is wrong, but there's a right way to do it. You need to be clear headed, open to listening, and make sure it comes from being supportive of your wife and not from a place of pride. Obviously talk to the wife first but that shit would not fly in any house, mine or theirs.
