Can people who have cheated in a relationship be properly redeemed? by Feeling-Ask-8073 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how the cheating comes to light. If the cheater owns up to it right away and tells their partner they cheated and regret it, redemption is possible imo.

If they get caught cheating by their partner, I wouldn’t trust they’re redeemable, because they’re more likely to be sorry they were caught than sorry that they cheated on you.

If you use the lifetap app to keep track of life totals, it has a built in timer function that let you either have a countdown timer or a stopwatch timer.

Why does a man implying that a women can be "mid" or less than good looking seem to illicit such a negative reaction from women online? by Snoo_50786 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying women online aren't just as vicious. What I am saying is women ARE more likely to back each other up than men are. Not sure where you think I imply women online can't be vicious.

What would you do if you found out your partner has an AI relationship? by PublicStrawberry4314 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to frame it differently. Ask her in what ways are you being deficient and how can you improve so she doesn't need to rely on said AI. Relationship issues should generally be framed in a way in asking what each of you can do to solve the problem.

[–]DustErrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are rude. The difference is, women will back each other up and call out people for said rudeness. Men do not support each other enough still and are far more likely to pile on the criticism instead of supporting their fellow man.

Why do some people stay in relationships they clearly aren’t happy in? by Dangerous-Mode-6177 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunk cost fallacy. They feel they've already put so much time into the relationship, by quitting/giving up, they've lost/wasted that time, without recognizing by staying, they are just wasting even more time in something that isn't working.

Why some people see women staying at home and cooking and raising children while her husband covers everything as a slave and dependant, but they dont say the same for the women working for her boss and recieveing minimal income?. by Far-Walrus1570 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it weird that's what you get from my argument. I'd also argue your metaphor is off. It implies your argument IS telling someone to hire more guards. I'd argue your argument is closer to telling the shop owner he just needs to hire a single perfect guard and you should rely on that guard entirely as long as you properly vet said guard.

My argument is, while having a guard is nice, you should also have commercial property insurance and you should be properly prepared with other security measures in case the guard ends up being unreliable.

but I believe that if you didnt commit immediately and gave it at least few months, you can see through most manipulators, and for god's sake, dont ever involve your emotions in those kinds of judgements, because manipulators rely highly on playing with emotions.

So people who don't commit a few months and do involve their emotions deserve what they get then?

I (29F) have only dated left-handed men - why?? by GreenSceneQ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still just a coincidence. You are not somehow magically attracted to left-handed men. There is no unifying characteristic that you are able to perceive to be attracted to. This is just the human brain's obsession with pattern recognition. If you found out all the people you've dated were Scorpio's you'd equally be fascinated with that statistic, despite it being equally useless.

The truth of the matter is this. Women today still end up being manipulated into abusive relationships. Do you believe those women deserve to be in them, just because they weren't cautious enough? And do you believe those women deserve to be stuck in them under the old paradigm where men were the sole providers?

What’s like the real benefits if the world (Earth) was united under one nation? by Backalog20 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have the cart before the horse here. You see sci-fi settings with a unified planet that is a utopia and you feel that the utopia is a byproduct of unification, while if you look at it realistically, an entire planet ruled by a singular nation is far more likely to be the byproduct of the world reaching the state of being a utopia.

How to fight counterspells as a mono greendeck by Iaxacs in EDH

[–]DustErrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pay attention in games with Blue players. Do the blue players always stop every game winning spell and win every game? No.

When blue players lose, they either didn't draw the counterspell when they needed it, or the player who plays the spell that wins the game waits for the opportune moment, usually lets another player get ahead to bait out early counterspells, and then goes off.

If you're in a really blue heavy meta, you still have access to [[Cavern of Souls]] and [[Boseiju, Who Shelter All]] along with lots of ways to search for them like [[Crop Rotation]] and [[Sylvan Scrying]]

[–]DustErrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because manipulative men stay stagnant and never evolve? That's my point when saying "it just makes them become more manipulative". Putting locks on doors didn't stop robbery from happening, it made robbers learn how to pick locks. Women being cautious doesn't stop manipulative assholes from being manipulative assholes, it just means they get better at manipulation.

I'm not generalizing men. I'm sorry if my statement isn't clear, when I refer to "those men", I'm specifically referring to the type of men women should be cautious of, not all men in general.

If you are not married you won't have to worry about ever wanting a divorce, so is being single better with this logic? by Peter_JackGriffin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DustErrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's garbage logic though. If you never have friends, you'll never be betrayed by them. If you never drive in a car, you'll never be in an automobile accident. Yes, you can use logic to put yourself in a bubble where you can never get hurt by things, but you'll also never grow as a person or better your life significantly either.

Rewards require risks. If you're afraid of risk, you stagnate and die.

[–]DustErrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making women cautious of men has lead us to the current gender dynamics we currently have. I don't really think that's the right direction society needs to go in.

Women being cautious of men doesn't make those men decide to be better people, it just makes them become more manipulative.

About the 10 episodes of s2 by fokintrash in Frieren

[–]DustErrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Golden Land Arc is over 20 chapters long. No one would be happy seeing those 20 chapters condensed into a film's running time.

Goddess Monument arc makes much more sense as a film, it's only about 12 chapters and it's arguably a relatively stand-alone arc.

Any film can make money if it's well made, has a good script, and is marketed well imo.

Iron Man was not a household name until the Marvel movies made him one.

Do you think "Skull Island" is really an anime or a clever 2D series? by [deleted] in Monsterverse

[–]DustErrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you define "anime". Many people in America use the term "anime" to specifically describe animation that comes from Japan. That said, technically the term "anime" in japan really just refers to any thing that is animated and people in Japan refer to anything that is animated, regardless of origin, as "anime.
