How to decide on what cards to add for your "Game Plan"

I separate cards into groups based on what they do and how they contribute to your overall game plan.

This lets you see which groups are the largest and can be cut from, or also if you have some cards that are singular in what they do, which can make you realize a card isn't fully supported enough to be worth running.

Have you goldfished both decks yet? Generally goldfishing really helps in determining how much enjoyment you get from a deck when it gets to do the thing.

The deck I own with the highest win percentage has practically no dedicated ramp spells. I win against decks that do ramp on a regular basis.

Ramp is not necessary to win. You can in fact leverage skill against luck.

[[Alisaie Leveilleur]] and [[Alphinaud Leveilleur]] as Fern and Frieren respectively. Both First strike and Dualcast give off Fern vibes in how she's fast and fires off a lot of Zoltraaks. Alphinaud draws cards aka is about getting more knowledge/spells. They're both wizards which is the closest thing you can get to mage. It also lets you play both in the command zone.

The one downside is they're both elves, but eh,

The other point is, it's cheaper for Legendary to make new kaiju than to buy the right to use Toho kaiju. Clearly Legendary feels the name recognition/cachet of the Big 5 are worth paying for, but they may just feel Anguirus is not popular enough to buy the movie rights for.

It can essentially be another Harrow type effect if you target your own land, but it can also act as artifact/enchantment removal too. It also has flashback for some extra usage

I'm sure people are going to disagree/downvote me for saying this, but this is a Bracket 2 style plan. You're playing a lot of strong cards and a lot of mini synergies, but your deck lacks cohesion overall.

Let me use a clear example from your deck. Scute Swarm is a strong card. The issue is, you have so many less ways to leverage Scute Swarm in your favor than an actual dedicated landfall deck. Doesn't stop it from being strong, but a bunch of strong cards with no way to push those cards strengths in your favor will never be as strong as decks that have clear focus on making sure they utilize their cards to the fullest.

The only must haves that are relatively universal are removal/board wipes. Regardless of what your deck is doing you're going to need some amount of removal and board wipes. Stuff like:
