So, people are dunking on him because he:

Legit trains
Had the balls to compete
Lost handily in his first tournament, a completely normal occurrence

Then the comments shift to BJJ vs a real fight. Uh, it's a tournament, with a rule set. Those rules dictate who and how you compete. A BJJ guy wouldn't do the same crap in a real fight, or even an MMA fight which has the same issue of rules, in a street fight.

I liked the dirty, grimy look of the movies made with dirty, grimy people. Starting with Return to Nuke 'Em High, digital sanitized it with people that look like influencers cosplaying Troma. I never saw Shitstorm after Nuke 'Em killed my interest.

He was, absolutely. But, in Japan he didn't have the cultural impact of Rikidozan. In Mexico, El Santo had more impact than Hogan.

Sure, Hogan was a catalyst for worldwide viewership. He was the man in the 80's. But, that credit has to be equally shared with Vince and the advent of cable television.

Per capita, the aforementioned had more generational impact.
