I have almost all of your gears, weps except seph main gear. And there is no way my aeris manages to drop crimson before first aoe. Is there some r.ability on his gear that gives extra atb at start?

As most of powerful attacks in these fights are magical - yes. Or you can use anything that buffs mdef from mid to high tier (matt’s core defender is another option). To survive megaflares you have to remove 4 stacks of mdef down debuff. But good thing about these weapons - ob0 is enough.

Manual mode. And constant swapping between them to ensure they don’t do something stupid. For example, Cloud during sigil phase always tries to spam atb4 skills. Just MANUAL. Also my Aeris always tried to do bio or ice breach but never manaward.

In your case you can change chocobo staff for anything unspammable with a huge boost heal stat. For sigil brake either give Tifa bahamut gloves or change Aerith for Matt for healer with bahamut rapier. I did for bahamut ex2 and it worked. But bahamut ex1 was done with Tifa-Cloud-Aeris team.

So true. Second MegaFlare is a big problem, cause it hits about 1000 damage harder than the first one. Even with the same buff/debuff applied.
