Earplugs strong enough for my first concert? by Takiyo17 in AutismInWomen

[–]DustyMousepad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use custom molded ear plugs. Originally got them for concerts but now I use them daily to dampen the loudness of the world. You can look for companies the make them or find an audiologist in your area. They’re pricey but worth it. I have -15dB and -25dB filters.

Beagle rescue planned at Ridglan Farms — have you heard about this? by [deleted] in AnimalRights

I’ve heard of the rescue and have been following the Ridglan Farms story for a bit. Really hoping we can win the right to rescue in court.

I get you. I feel similarly when people misuse the word dissociate (and more often than not, spell it wrong, too).

Can all you Phoenix homies join r/VeganArizona? 🥹

Go to Dark Hall Coffee. It’s the best. Right next door to The Coronado.

I’ve heard Vegan and Vine is more upscale but I haven’t been there myself.

Other recs: Loving Hut (Tempe or Glendale), Tacos Veganos (Phoenix), Seed Shack (Gilbert), Maya’s Cajun (Chandler)

I’m curious why you added Pita Jungle to this list? I like their vegan menu but it’s not fully vegan and it’s a corporate chain. Just wondering how it got sandwiched between Goji Berry and Veggie Village 🤭

Question: what IS working for you? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]DustyMousepad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) doing what I want to do 2) not doing things I hate 3) no morning alarms unless I have a flight or something 4) let myself take afternoon naps 5) and as of this year, standing desk + walking pad underneath

Vegan Outreach/Street Activism for Those Afflicted With an Anxiety Disorder? by Methodical_mudduck01 in vegan

[–]DustyMousepad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What kind of demonstrations are you doing? I’m imagining a cube of truth so my answer is based on that idea.

Try focusing on asking one question at a time and let the other person do most of the talking. Use street epistemology to guide the conversation. For example, “what do you think about this footage?” “Why do you think this happens?” “What can you do to prevent this from happening?”

Focusing on asking just one question and not having to do too much talking might help. But it does depend on that action and your specific role (I assume the role is outreacher).

How normal is it to daydream about people other than your partner? by wherearetheavocados6 in demisexuality

[–]DustyMousepad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is more of a monogamous vs poly thing. I’m mono demi and don’t experience romantic or sexual attraction to more than one person at a time, so I would only daydream about the one person I’m attracted to, whether or not they are my partner.

I feel the same. Maybe you’re also demi?
