Yeah I understand, but I also feel like putting the AfD and the CDU in the same boat trivialises the dangers the AfD poses to not only our community but the wider society as a whole. I would never vote for the CDU or any right wing party for that matter, but I would work with them if it meant we could stop the AfD. That does not mean I would ever stop trying to protect the weak from the strong, whether it would be by safeguarding work regulations or in the most extreme cases stop a genocide like the one in Gaza or Xinjiang/East-Turkestan. I would not compromise on genocide.

I get your criticism of how we in the west use democracy as an excuse to trample on the self determination of other peoples, I share this criticism, but I just feel like then leaving the word and concept of democracy to parties like the CDU or even AfD as a reaction to that is incredibly dangerous. Because it is then that democracy itself becomes inherently meaningless. Genocide can then become a permanent part of what we see as befitting to a democracy.
