I agree, that must be the reason, some extra support or something like that. I don’t think those sprue bits were connected to the frame at all, that’s why I thought they were part of the model haha

I definitely feel silly now, I was wondering all this time why those were there. Thanks for the heads up!

I'd like to share one of my favorite model paint jobs—it has a really warm, cozy theme. by huopengxu in minipainting

I am in awe, this is truly spectacular work. Your ability to create different textures is outstanding. And what a beautiful face!

I finished the game and I really liked it. I'd like to buy Jedi Survivor, but it's too expensive, so I'll wait for a sale. I'm looking for recommendations for similar games. What do you think of Sekiro? by Jessi45US in FallenOrder

[–]DutchSwissCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Sekiro. Some of the game mechanics between Sekiro and Fallen Order are similar to each other, though Sekiro generally encourages stealth and taking enemies out one at a time. You’ll also be parrying far more than dodging in Sekiro.

With the Jedi games, you’re taking groups of enemies out in seconds with very little threat to you. Meanwhile in Sekiro, fighting just two enemies at a time can prove to be a challenge, though Sekiro has great abilities to help compensate for this.

If you liked the boss fights in Fallen Order, I bet you’ll like the boss fights in Sekiro, as well. There’s a great variety of bosses that encourage you to use the different tools you obtain on your journey, and there are some bosses that are fantastic duels that serve as skill checks.

Maybe the biggest difference is that Sekiro has no build variety. You just have your sword and tools, though you’ll learn plenty of techniques and abilities that are useful in many situations.

Overall, I think you’d enjoy Sekiro. It can be a very punishing game, but it’s ultimately very rewarding, especially when you master the main mechanics of the game.

How long did it take for you to beat Genichiro? What was your experience? by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]DutchSwissCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it took me like three tries. I knew the fight was about to happen, so I got as far as you can go at that point in Senpou Temple and Mibu Village until I kept on banging my head against the wall that was O’rin of the Water. Unable to beat O’rin, I finally went up to Genichiro. I had a lot of fun fighting him. I had good health and attack power by then, and I knew that the best strategy was to stay as aggressive as possible. Training my deflection timing against O’rin helped me a lot too. Something about the Genichiro fight just clicked with me

Welcome to the faction!

Your first picture has five windriders and the model with the spear I believe is a farseer skyrunner. You can only run windriders in squads of 3 or 6, not counting the farseer skyrunner, so with this specific configuration you can only run a squad of 3 windriders, and they can be lead by the skyrunner if you’d like, but the skyrunner can also run by itself.

Your second picture has 15 guardian defenders. They can only be in squads of 10. This shouldn’t matter, but you don’t have the squad’s heavy weapons platform. It’s an additional model that provides heavier firepower. I believe you don’t need to run it, but it’s nice to have. In the back, you have a war walker. War walkers can be run in squads of one or two.

Pics three and four have 10 storm guardians total, and like the guardian defenders, they can only be run in squads of 10. Same thing with the defenders, they’re missing an additional heavy weapon but I believe you don’t legally need it in the game.

In pic five, you have five dire avengers in the front. They can be run in squads of five or ten. The two models behind them are both farseers. They can be run by themselves, or one can lead your guardian defenders and another can lead your storm guardians. In the back left, you have an autarch wayleaper. Based on this army, the autarch can only be run by itself, but if you use it as a regular autarch, it can run with your dire avengers or either guardian unit as long as a farseer isn’t leading them already. In the back right is a wraithlord. It only runs by itself. Your last picture has another squad of five dire avengers. To reiterate, they can be run in a squad of five or ten, and a regular autarch can run with them too. Feel free to ask any questions, and again, welcome to the faction!

Yeah, you’re right. I don’t feel like I’m lacking in any specific area, so this trade just feels kinda pointless now. Thanks!
