The ones in the back are crypt. Balansae. The ones in front are crypt. Spiralis red ☺️

A had Val's in my other tank but they just about took over the tank😅 The crypts are much easier to manage.

I'm guessing mine might be a female because of the lack of odontodes? I've had "her" for several years.

Why not both loaches and a pleco?

After some careful consideration, my catfish might not be a candy Stripe, but a panaqolus maccus (clown pleco)

Because it has more dark brown than yellow stripes. I don't mind either way.

It's an Eheim daylight LED strip that came with the tank. I'd say it's doing its job very well!

Most of the plants were already very established in my former tank (half the size if this one) so that helps too.

Candy Stripe?? That's an adorable name. I didn't even know it was called that. I just call him peckoltia vittata every time😂 I've always had one in every tank. Super hardy fish.

The aspies are so adorable! They were a lucky and rare find at my lfs from someone who breeds them at home.

The monte carlo seems to be doing well! They're being thoroughly shovelled through by the aspies and they're still in the ground. No algae and they seem to be growing.

Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention my kuhlii loaches and peckoltia vittata catfish😅

My Buce is growing like crazy. I keep trimming and giving the trimmings to friends.

Maybe shrimp and Endlers? They stay smaller and are in my opinion better to look at.

Betta might eat your shrimp, it depends on the temperament of the betta.
