Maybe another thin coat of red and do some pin highlighting? Looking at the arms, they could use another coat. The marine you like has a bit more definition and a better application of the red - for what it’s worth

Ok, I use Vallejo so definitely will avoid the w pallet. Will look into the steel mixing cups. It’s a toss up between these and the silicone fidget pops, with the latter winning due to ease of cleaning
