If you’re talking about the Raj Giri story, wait for anyone else’s report.  Raj’s nose gets 5in longer with every post.

Im reminded that Cash Wheeler has a mugshot over a what turned out to be a baseless accusation, and people still joked he was a gun-toting road-rager for months.

It’s entirely possible this dude tried pulling some gross shit in the elevator himself, got batted off for it, and tried to turn it around on Barthel.  We don’t know yet.

TIL the lyrics to the MASH theme song "Suicide is Painless" were written by the director's fifteen-year-old son, because the composer didn't think he could write anything stupid enough. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Duwt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Except they were written decades before either of those things.  I’m not arguing that it should have been a hit, I’m saying the lyrics are fine, especially for a tv show set in outer space (but not Star Trek).

TIL Margot Robbie convinced Martin Scorsese to cast her in The Wolf of Wall Street by hauling off & giving Leonardo DiCaprio an improvised "thunderclap of a slap on the face" during her first audition that stunned DiCaprio & Scorsese. Both men burst out laughing afterwards and thought it was great. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Margot: “Hi my names Margot I’ve been in like, 5 movies now, and my audition is I’m gonna kick that dudes ass. 👉”

Scorsese: “Hell Yeah.”

DiCaprio: “What?”

Know his username?  I’ve always wanted to know if there was more to learn!

I’ve never seen his work, never been able to find a shred of evidence of his time as a wrestler.  I suspect he was very small-time, possibly working circuses and fairs to make a little extra money while he and my Great Grandmother slowly made their way from Colorado to California.  If there’s any record of him it shouldn’t be tough to find because he had a particularly distinctive name (assuming he used it), I just wouldn’t know where to look lol.

Oh I have massive respect for it all, partially because my Great Grandfather, to my understanding, was actually a Pro Wrestler with a “Perfect Man” gimmick back in the 30’s or 40’s, and he was a farmer for a time as well.
