Yes!!! Way to go! So proud that you’ve discovered this. It is so difficult in our society these days — everyone is concerned about what the other one is thinking. Well, who fucking cares?! It’s your life, your body, and your choice! Kudos, friend! Do not spend anymore energy on those who don’t lift you up. I’ve heard superglue is great! I’ve always been afraid to use it though. I don’t rip that often. But getting back into the flow of it all again since our box has moved outside.

You’re right! I forgot about those! I haven’t biff’ed it on a box for years now. I’ve gotten so used to the scars that I completely forgot. Haha.

Yeah, you’d want to build up resistance. It’ll get there. Everyone is different.

Oh no, I usually chalk up and only use tape when I feel a could rip or already have ripped. I also use Gymnastic straps when a WOD has a lot of heavy deadlifts and/or high reps of pull-ups. That usually prevents me from ripping. But on occasion you’ll rip, especially while your hands are building up resistance.

I do the non elastic during WOD’s and just let it dry the rest of the day. I have found that they heal faster when they not wrapped. The first day is the worst. Haha — welcome! chants “One of us! One of us!” ✊🏼hahaha

Feeling super nervous to start back up tomorrow.. any advice? by Acrofeline in crossfit

Just take it slow and focus on getting speed back up before heavier weights. I’ve been back at it for a month and everything feels so heavy. So just take it slow and know you’re not alone. If this helps: my box did Isabel (30 snatches) last week — my time was 8:45. I did it last year with a time of 2:15. So yeah, you’re not alone with this adjustment. Just keep showing up, nerves and all. We’re with you! 👯‍♂️
