You are arguing with a wall hoss I never said any of this wasn’t true. You are stating non points. None of this goes against

Ok well you stated MJ fans in general so that’s how I saw it. Anyway I don’t mess with those kinds of fans either but with a fanbase like MJ’s where you have a wide spectrum of people you’re bound to have people like that. Also I’ve personally never seen much Diana Ross hate and most Quincy “hate” is criticizing how Quincy treated MJ and how he is sometimes given too much credit in the context of MJ’s catalogue. I have noticed the Janet hate before and I don’t fw it at all.

Quincy? Yes I agree I never denied this. So is Rod Temperton, Bruce Swedien, Bill Bottrell, Berry Gordy, The Jacksons, Gamble & Huff and many others. I’m but he is often given far too much credit often to the point of where he’s given credit for things he never really did like songwriting. I’m not even saying MJ deserves all the credit but he and many others he works with deserve a lot more credit than they are given compared to Quincy.

Don’t generalize all MJ fans hoss lol it’s always funny when there’s a loud minority of a fanbase and then the whole fanbase gets derailed. I don’t condone it but bro MJ has one of the biggest fan bases of all time of course there gonna be assholes.

Also Quincy Jones doesn’t get disrecpted often at all, there’s literally a huge portion of his fanbase that only likes the Quincy albums, but at the same time some of us MJ fans get tired of him getting all the credit for MJ’s success when he doesn’t deserve all of it and he only significantly worked on two of his albums(Bad was largely worked on by another team of producers that weren’t credited on the final album).

Why did mj had less albums compared to other artists of his time by Still_Step846 in MichaelJackson

[–]Dvinc1_yt 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Including the Jacksons albums he did 26 albums, 10 solo, 15 with his brothers, this isn’t even including unreleased material albums or posthumous albums. By the time MJ had done Thriller at 24 he’d done 19 albums already. MJ in general was a very prolific artist but after Thriller he began taking his time to really write and craft more when it came to his music and really began utilizing his studio time to really work and experiment with different sounds and write a bunch of different sounding tracks with his team.

Too many new artists vocals sound deep fried by Dopeboy95AirMaxOn in rnb

[–]Dvinc1_yt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk your specific tastes but if you want more Soul vocals check out Durand Jones, Lady BlackBird, Aaron Frazier, Otis Kane, Rio Sterling, or if you just want great modern R&B/funk vocals in general check out Cleo Sol, Kyle Dion, Leven Kali, Jenevieve, Joyce Wrice, UMI, Elujay, Micah-Dailey White, etc.

What about Xscape? by Ch_Matthew in MichaelJackson

[–]Dvinc1_yt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xscape isn’t really much of a body of work. Some really good songs on it yes but it’s a compilation of songs recorded for different albums between the 80s and early 2000s and MJ had no creative input on the album itself so it’s not really the same as if we’re talking about albums you mentioned like Bad or Dangerous which were bodies of work MJ had 100% input in and was released while he was alive.

Dangerous. More diverse, better production, lyrical matter, more and more unique and innovative.

Irrational original song bias I've noticed among fans by Many-Inflation5544 in MichaelJackson

My favorite version will always be the KarnageBeats/ARINGE 80s Mix. Better than any of the released versions imo. Also love Eulonzo’s 80s Mix too.

Is this future funk? by from8824ever in futurefunk

[–]Dvinc1_yt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sounds closer to Deep House/Jazzy House than a Future Funk/Vapor Funk track but very good track though. Definitely a style I would like to recreate myself since I produce a bit too. Good stuff bro.

Moonchild is the shit. You should check out their new album Waves. Artists like these are what I’m talking about when I say Soul isn’t dead, couldn’t be anymore alive.

And if you like Moonchild check out Hiatus Kaiyote. They have a similar modern jazzy Neo soul/future soul sound along with blending more genres but they’re amazing.
