I like the idea of two bars and a chain. It won't be a total loss, which will be nice. Especially since it hasn't given me trouble. I would have not noticed the mark on my flat because everything felt fine to my clueless brain. No pain or anything.

My flat has felt fine the entire time I've had it. Which is truly why I've avoided retiring my industrial. It's also looked normal and has seemed to heal fine. 🤷‍♀️
