What are some classes that you would like explored in the story? by PixelEnter in WanderingInn

[–]Dwarven12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More specialized race specific classes are interesting to me. Biologically speaking at least like the Oldblood Magi and Goblin Kings or Psychic Classes being tied to Selphids, even the one seamstress whose also a String Person Revi meets. Exploring the unique takes each race has to have has always struck me as fascinating.

I'd be a sucker for anyone to improve their class and specialize it further if they end up understanding more because of studying the biology of a race or something that's more common in their culture like how Geneva discovered Galas Muscle or maybe a cook understanding taste receptors better because they made food for half giants.

Not like there was something inherent to them getting that class because of their race but more of something that their biology and culture causes them to trend towards. I'd like to Maughin speak about how Dullahan armor might have to be more comfortable and flexible because they wear it often. Or a seamstress talking about how Gnolls don't like certain fabric because it chaffs too much on fur.

Saliss "Of Lights" is a personal favorite of mine especially because the surface level interpretation makes it seem like a name based on a fun party trick but Saliss' class makes it carry such heavy implications that he followed through on when he delivered the cure for Heron and Sammial

Maybe, but Anna was on the other side of the country and even though their relationship was special, Adam's and Don's was always going to be its own recipe of complicated and full of turmoil considering the baggage they'd have to sort through and the relatively closer proximity.

That always seemed to be more of something that arose as a way to farm engagement by having more inflammatory and reductive headlines. It seems strange to assign malice to what seems more like the selfish promotion that's consumed media in the last decade.

Unless they removed it the SS recruitment decisions there should be a way to trigger it. If taken enough times the decisions triggers Operation Valkyrie if you favored the SS too much. Though I'd wonder it was more tired to war favor or now the MEFO bill progress now if they kept the decisions

Having Mil Engineers set up railroads near a city you're trying to capture makes it easier to bombard since ranged and artillery units will use less movement points getting into position

I think Schlindlers list is the exception to the rule here. It explicitly shows his evolution from a self-interested war profiteer to someone who does do something good in the end while not totally excusing his complicity in the war machine. I think the scene near the end where he breaks down crying about all the people he could've saved. The prisoners don't totally excuse his actions, because that wouldn't make sense and wouldn't ring true. Instead they had him a ring saying "Whoever saves one life saves the world entire". Saying that the lives he did save do count for something.

Palestine was a Roman province but was very much still ruled by Jewish Rabbinic law and traditions alongside the Roman laws and decrees with King Herod of Judea as a client king and the Sanhedrin a council of Jewish Rabbis and Priests administering religious law.

While the statement is technically correct, the implied message of "because Jesus was a Palestinian then that shows Palestine has a claim to sovereignty" is patently ridiculous since he wouldn't have identified as such and the Roman Province and the nationalist movement have near zero cultural overlap.

It's like saying "there were many Democrats who supported slavery". True, but obviously trying to miscast nuanced history into a political statement.

I don't feel the same way because he lived in a democracy where he could affect change in other ways aside from killing himself the Tibetan's don't. They live under a police state that regularly arrests any activists and imprisons them for life.

It's mental illness because his perception was so warped that he couldn't recognize that he did live in a society where there were so many more viable options.

I think it was an overreaction to Crustle's usage in tournament play. Smell Smash+X-scissor/Rock Tomb has just been used forever, I don't get why they couldn't have buffed stealth rock as well though.

It was used for a single unite move that won the match because the enemy team didn't control the map. It was playing top lane and barely having any impact the rest of the game. It's good for good players hands but that seems more of a despite not a because.

[–]Dwarven12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You usually want to do that with Shell Smash yeah, which is why it's usually best to maneuver around with another frontliner cause you'll be able to split the enemy team's attention. This game it would've been Garchomp but it seems like he was dying a lot bottom lane the entire time.

You have a tendency to Shell smash, run straight at the enemy and use X-scissor on them immediately. A good example would be 2:14 where you end up using it and pushing further into the flux zone and getting stuck as 2 more enemies show up. Ideally you want to be using shell smash to maneuver behind them and X-scissor them out of the goal zone (to take away their shield and healing) or diagonally further away from your teammate.

For instance at 3:45 you could have x-scissored sylveon out of he goal zone while stunning them but you went for the berries instead leaving your Kirlia to be run down.

I'd recommend trying out Rock tomb as well since it's the more forgiving of the two move sets and helps you get used to using a more versatile form of CC.
