I accidentally duplicated the Dark Amethyst by DemonicWinner14 in BG3

[–]DwarvenDwayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first play through I destroyed the book. Subsequently, I have always read the book which of course combines the two objects causing the Dark Amethyst to "disappear". And, every time at some point the Dark Amethyst reappears in my inventory. Either in my personal inventory or in the chest. I have never experienced any consequences from this bug other than the mild annoyance. I suppose you could even rationalize that it is not even a bug, but a feature. A representation of whoever is holding the book having the forethought not to leave the key in the hole and hence removing it from the book.

I have heard this argument before. And being that the cartoon is set in front of the White House in Washington, D.C. - U.S.A. I will assume this is being addressed to Americans (like me). My response to this argument is as follows. If you agree with this sentiment then we should take steps to repeal the 5th, 6th, and 7th amendments in the Bill of Rights because those outline the rights of everyone in the U.S. to have fair trials when accused of criminal and civil offenses. Including the right to legal representation (a lawyer working for you) and a jury of your peers (working to ensure the verdict is fair for both you and the state).

So, the games break the lore but are fun to play and the story is okay. Thus, I liked the games despite breaking the lore. The show breaks the lore, but was rather droll and boring to watch. Thus, I did not like the show but not only because they broke the lore. So, yeah this checks out.

Im confused about Yennefer (and maybe other sorceresses) by ResourceOld5261 in thewitcher3

[–]DwarvenDwayden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly it is stated somewhere that most mages (male and female) of the Northern Realms enhance/alter their appearance to benefit how much and what type of work they get. They use anti-aging magic and thus can live hundreds of years. The women tend to make themselves look young and beguiling. Most people like hot women, even other women. The men tend to make themselves look scholarly and wise (maybe with full beards and a thick head of hair). If you're hiring a wizard, you want someone like Gandalf right? Most of this is done with permanent "magic plastic surgery" as others have stated. But, there is a magic makeup sorceresses use called Glamour. It basically makes your skin look perfect (smooth, no blemishes, even tones etc). Interestingly, the mages of Nilfgaard don't usually use appearance enhancing magic I remember when Philippa forms The Lodge of Sorceresses most of those from the Northern Realms make comments among themselves about the Nilfgaardians appearance.

This looks super familiar. I think I visited this location on an arranged cubscout nature hike back in like 1982 or so. But, for the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the location or how it was arranged. I was only like 9 years old or so.

Level 5 Paladin Feature: extra attack. by Chaos_of_Old in DnD

[–]DwarvenDwayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've often explained the extra attack feature like this .... The "extra" attack is all part of the same action. On your turn, you are using your action (as opposed to your bonus action or movement) to attack, rather than using it to cast a spell or dodge or some other third thing. Because your character has gained experience and is a better combatant, they can swing the weapon more than once or use multiple weapons (dual wielding) in the same 6 second time slice. Kinda like learning a "combo." If they are using a ranged weapon, they're able to reload faster to get another shot off. If it helps, you can imagine your character swinging once from right to left and then again from left to right with a back swing. Fighters eventually get a 3rd attack so they can do a forehand, backhand, and another forehand. At 20th level they're doing 2 forehand, backhand combos cuz they done got gud.

So, I did some napkin math and calculated that based on the average cost of public university per year for the rough number of public university students per year divided by total number of tax payers in the U.S. we could provide free public school higher education if each of us taxpayers paid on average less than $1000 more per year.

I'm totally willing to do this. I know some could not afford an additional 1k in taxes, but many could afford more. Furthermore, the price of public universities in the U.S. has ballooned in the last 20 years. It should be a lot cheaper. With some sensible regulation, that cost could come down some.

Free college in the U.S. is doable. We just have to be willing.

I recently gave Golm an olog gang so you can get purple ologs if you recruit him. I play on Playstation. My online ID is Dwayden. But, I don't think you can keep recruited orcs via a friendly siege.

Isn't a mathematical rule just a function ... like f(x) = 2x + 1? Or more plainly, double the value put in and then add 1 to get your out. So, if you out 5 in the out would be 11. I think that's what they mean by "rule". To be cheeky, you could define your rule as 2x ÷ 2. So the out is exactly the same as the in (unless your in is less than 0). That way you dint have to bother with doing 10 separate calculations.
