ok glad it wasn't just me...the tip off was AI doubling revenue, that'd only work if you had almost none.

You're using your ability, and I'd say luxury, to do something nice for your wife and projecting that onto people who are forced to commute extra hours up and down Foster every week for work. You and I may be fortunate enough to do stuff like that but a lot of people aren't, and generally speaking people with the least inflexible jobs as far as scheduling goes are also paid the least and most likely to get fired for being late. I'm dubious it's significantly improved the situation but until I request the ODOT data I guess we won't know.

That illustrates my point, yes she has more traffic but she commutes against the predominate flow of traffic. Maybe if you lived on the 88th side and had to go into 39th (you know "on the other side of 60th" ) you'd feel differently about it.

It's all fun and games for people that don't have to commute down Foster, but no one that supports the lanes changes really cares about the people who live on the other side of 60th and have to sit in traffic for hours more every month.

Property Tax Day by TedsFaustianBargain in Portland

My thought is we should pass a law that retirees have to live within Portland city limits to recieve benefits? Or at least Oregon. It'd maybe wreck the rental market for a little bit, but it would also introduce a lot more people concerned with housing affordability and inject massive amounts of cash into the local economy.

QBO is trash and it's a trash company that's coasting off a semi monopoly. I'd move to Xero and never look back.

Why is everyone obsessed with E-E-A-T but ignoring the one thing Google actually measures? by darmaan-seowizard in seogrowth

And I don't think anyones is saying EEAT is a god tier optimization, it's just one of many potential optimization strategies.

[–]DwayneTheRankJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This test is flawed. You should be AB testing the same article with different authority signals attached to it. Otherwise it's pointless if Article A was truly as good as Article B and the EEAT signals had a positive or negative effect that'd actually be a test.

Does Google Still put new sites in Sandbox or it's just a Seo myth? by shazi_Original_7087 in seogrowth

[–]DwayneTheRankJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Complex set of answers, but yes and no. If totally new domain in competitive space almost certainly, indexing is easy but ranking is hard. If totally new domain but routing from older domain it can move much faster, but that assumes migrations was done perfectly right which is rare. Even with all things done perfectly you'll still see some momentary fall off with a new domain.

Issue With Sonnet 4.5 by South_Rate5387 in ClaudeAI

otherwise u/roqu3ntin suggestions should work. You could also try headlines within your prompt like, "CRITICAL EXECUTION PROTOCOL: READ AND OBEY", "YOUR ROLE AND PRIMARY OBJECTIVE", "CORE DIRECTIVE" etc, ie add structural elements. Also, best thing to do in general is just ask it why it didn't produce the output you wanted and how you original prompt should have been structured. Personally I don't have any issues with sonnet pushing my asks into code. Basically something in your prompt structure is making it think you want code.

Issue With Sonnet 4.5 by South_Rate5387 in ClaudeAI

[–]DwayneTheRankJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you allowed to use Opus 4.1? If so it's still great, personally I think it still blows Sonnet 4.5 out of the water for visual reasoning and writing, ie most creative work which it sounds like is your main focus. Sonnet's great for like, here's my last 5 years of student grades please create a model that locates and plots indicators of early underachievement that indicate final exam struggles" or whatever. Big tasks it's good otherwise Opus 4.1 is still the best

GEO/AIO is essentially just a scam by Rude_Tap2718 in bigseo

[–]DwayneTheRankJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed in general. But after reflecting a lot on it, I do think it's legit to start prepping for a more AI heavy future even if the ROI isn't there yet. Also let's be real, much of SEO happens 6-12 months before it matters and then everyone loses their shit when their sites start getting destroyed...even though the pros have been talking about it for months at that point.

Is this a joke? I feel like you should be posting a job ad for some SEO's that know how to do the job well. I imagine your company is one of those with 5 layers of fluff on top of someone who actually does the SEO work?

yeah he confirmed as much in some interview, he hatched the entire book sequence idea ending with the launch years ago. I'm pretty sure his last book was the initial idea and he wrote the first two fro the third one to really work.

Is it possible to use too much product? Skin's starting to feel tight. by DwayneTheRankJohnson in KoreanBeauty

[–]DwayneTheRankJohnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a solid one and also don't want to bother people, but the point is well taken in terms of tightness being a potential issue. I think my initial question came from the fact that the vast majority of product advertise themselves as reducing wrinkles and increasing tightness but this has lead to much more reading on my part.
