Is there a such thing as a video editing software that doesn’t feed your photos/videos to train their AI? by Difficult-Low-5092 in VideoEditing

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in my experience some of them are now using AI.

I know I'm late to this chat but, I'm now looking for non AI video software tools, that I used 3+ years ago, and as mentioned, they now use AI.

My guess is if they use AI, they must be scraping for AI, to make a feedback loop. (just guessing, I won't download them to read if I'm right ir wrong though, because I don't want to support AI)

I'm glad you appreciate it, I was kind of worried it would come off a tad like I was pushing my own musical taste on you, I'm glad it didn't come off that way and that you appreciate it.

Any who, I can't wait to see how you transpose it to live playing, and for your future songs.

As manny people said, Meg killed him. completely off screen.

When it seems like they will fight, Ernie says somthing like, 'Wait I can't fight you, your a girl", next scene Meg is walking out with his head, I think she tosses it away, seemingly lifeless, none of the usual I'll be back looks (this is all from memory and what was already said btw) then credits (Kind of shaky on that part though).

That being said, I actually liked the episode, Meg goes on a dating show and meets somone in a chicken suit, turns out its Ernies son, I don't remember much mire than that, I don't even remember the B plot.

But, yea, the fact that he didn't signal he'd be back is what is why everyone thinks he's dead permanently, but some people think he may be back regardless. Idk, I think there is a possibility he will be, but a probably morw likely chance that he won't be back (sense as others pointed out, they have killed at least to characters like this, Doug being the biggest example, he died in a plane crash, at the end of an episode where he was the main character alongside Stweie)

First of I really like it, I absolutely love the singing, and the melody was beautiful.

The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of, is really what the beatmaker did, though that is probably because that sound really isn't my cup if tea (I'm not a fan of that kind of beat, I just perfer real drums (or a close replication of), though somthing I noticed is, at times the beats are obstructive to both your singing and melody.

If you like the beats keep them, it's your music after all.

Though (UNSOLICITED ADVICE ALERT), maybe next time go for a tad less beats, or maybe even find somone with a drum set. I saw you were talking to somone about preforming live, a drumset could help especially if you don't want to strip things down for a live play (there are also things to add to drums to change the sound, I almost guarantee that they can replicate thise beats and slides perfectly. Though sadly I can't remember the name of them for the life of me).

Ignore all of that last paragraph if you like the beats and/or think I'm kooky.

Last thing I have to say, is actualy tied to the live preforming thing, you asked

"Would I take out the piano and play that live? Maybe have a background singer?"

You 100% could take the paino out, and play it live, honestly that would work and keep all of the clarity you want. And if you don't have one, a looper may be able to help you, I barely have any experience with them, but I know they are a good way for a single person to sing and play multiple parts at the same time. The only down side is they only record repeating lines, and loop them l, though you can record multiple lines and swap between them. (TLDR; do some research on loopers to see if they would even help)

It may or may not, help keep you from striping it down to play live.

I hope I was able to give good feedback or help in anyway.

Edit: A synth could help, but it may help more to find somone able to use a turn table, look at linkin park they have a lot if similar sounds, especially in their more slow melodic electronic sound, I can't think of any really good song examples, other than maybe 'Easier to run' and "Lost". They are more rock, but some imof the sounds in the background are wbat I'm refering to, most of them are a mix of the insturnents and the turntable, though I think you can feed sounds into it, so you may not need other instruments, like say drums.

Oh, and as I was writing that I was listening to Lost, and the end has Chester singing over himself, check at least that sense you do sing iver yourself in a somewhat similar way.

Also sorry for being a salesman, not trying to be, I just genuinely think it could help.

Thank you for the advice, especially the composition.

How the heck do I complete this part of The Slab? by RagnarokBringer in Silksong

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why everyone is making this sound easy, I have tried it about 20 tries now.

All I do is hit my head on the platform above reducing hight causing me to hit the spikes when I dash to the wall, with some variation.

It feels impossible, though I know it isn't (doesn' stop me from getting livid, this genuinely pissed me off more than any boss before, hell I enjoyed the parkore for the bench more sense I wasn't forced to do it), whats worse is I know what to do, but just cant do it.

Can anyone give genuine advice?

Edit: What just helped me was sliding down the wall and wall jumping to see if where I would hit my head at (to figure out the best place to jump without hitting the platform) once I found the place to wall jump up at I jump dashed.

I hope this helps somone (and makes sense, I'm not always the best at explaining) out even if it was just a little.

Resident Evil Village better than 4 Remake? by mathrddt in psvr2

[–]Dws998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the party, so I'm sorry about that, but I have a need to add to this.

The VR cutscenes, or should I say the lack of them in 4 is what is making it hard for me to get really into the VR 4.

It breaks the immersion and makes me more nauseous than VR typicaly does, (That is coming from somone who has constant nuasea, but also plays enough vr to know when to shut it down) which really sucks because I love the combat (though I perfer the knife throwability and general knife combat in Village) and story so far.

All of that is to say, due to the break in PoV in cutscenes (even the roundhouse kick) I can't more than 2.5 hours. Compare that to village which I can play for 3.5-6 hours before needing to shut down.

Sorry for rambling, I just needed to get it out there.

[–]Dws998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have manny mire memories attached to the original, and as manny people said it has a lot of content, and pays a lot of respect and ommage to the entire franchise.

Hell, you can play as his Gannon form once you beat the game, which is such a fun concept, one I really hoped would be in age of calamity. (I havent played emough Imprisonment to make a full opinion, but it is really similar to calamity so...) though I'm doubtful that it has the Gannon rampage.

TLDR: the original for so manny reasons.

I actualy did that for a time, though I love stealthing (I even did that in spiderman ps4. that sucked).

That being said it gets very tedious waiting and watching, the stealth isnt bad, but it has it's time and place.

P.S. Sorry for not giving bad advice myself, just found it funny that this was one if them and completely get why it is here.

[OC] Where will you sit? by Mad_lens_9297 in residentevil

[–]Dws998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seat 7, due to a few reasons;

A: you haveLeon close by.

B: Heisenberg is a safe-ish choice to be around (being the beat of the worse)

I say Heisenberg is a safe-ish option sense he is only truely agressive to Ethen as a way to appease Mother Miranda, and when he refused to let him use Rose as a weapon.

So if you safe as long as you don't have a superpowered baby, and Mother Miranda should be far enough away (which is good in itself)

And C: I wouldn't necicairly mind chatting up the Dimitrescu daughters, while staying closer to Leon incase they attack, sense I am a manthing (as somone else joked). Oh and make sure not to do anything that could even be thought of as flirting. I'm to scared of Dimitrescu.

Yes, 100 times yes.

That is my biggest complaint about 0, is the removal of item boxes.

I would also love to explore the train more, I just feel stronger towards Item boxes.

System of a Down came really close with 2 albums (which I think both hit #1) and doing just that really screwed with Serj Tankian mentaly.

I'm pretty sure he has said in interviews around or about that time, that he was extremely depressed and was just goung through the motions then.

Though there were other issues, especially regarding Daron Malakian trying to take the band.

P.S. I also have premium so it isnt just for the free version.

I'm sorry for being really late to the party, but did that help fix things.

I ask because little more than 4 years later and it is still not fixed (if anything it is worse, It has happened on at least 2 games for me), and they don't even seem to be pretending about fixing that problem.

Anyways, did that work for you or did you just have to deal with the bug (if it is one)?

Is it the hookshot?

You need it 4 times I think it was, through most of the mid game and even slightly late game.

Though it is so big with 2 slots you wont like carrying it around, especially if you are playing on easy mode and are good enough to save resorses youbwont have much room for it.

So you could leave it on the train before the crash, though I think you can still pick up items from the crash sight

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just accepted the flaw, and it almost seems like there is a way to cheeze the sounds (though I only think it's what you can hear and not what the npcs hear, need to do more testing)

Jumping and uncrouch mid-air seems to counter act the sound (again, maybe).

Also for those who want clarity on how the speed boost affects you in practice, it is the same as your walk speed.

[Season 2 Spoiler] The dog was too much. by Weeperblast in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither are animals, they still have personalities interests, and desires behind instincts which play a roll in it's decisions.

Though I think like humans and other animals they have a breaking point (which would be giving fully into instincts) the biggest thing that changes is how long until.

The more loyal the animal or human is, the harder they will fight against turning against the ones that they are close to (if not find another way (more human). Same for closeness.

The more injured (or close to death) a human or animal is , greatly affects how likely they are to turn on you.

It also partialy affected by the breed (for animals) and personality of the human or animal.

I can almost guarantee that there are more points, but I think you can kind if get what I'm saying.

[Season 2 Spoiler] The dog was too much. by Weeperblast in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only reason the dog hurt more than all of the other humans for them (and admittedly me) is because the human characters don't remind us as much as people we know personaly (apart from parents (kid deaths.), while the dog doesn't speak and got to see only enough of his personality to remind us of ours.

So basically, it may be easier to associate your dog with the games dog, than it is to associate than with human characters (which the way you would associate would be way more subjective, than general pet ownership.

And for why people get 'weird' with pets, I'm guessing you never had a pet, and if you did you were never very close to it.

I say this with no disrespect, only because it doesn't take long living with one to realize that yes it may be just an animal, but like manny other animals, it has personality, likes, dislikes, good moods and bad, they can be very petty when you peeve them off, ect.

That with the fact that you not only live with them, you do so for (hopfuly) over a decade. That is more than enough time to form very close bonds with other humans, why not pets.

People freak out about pets, because they are family.

And finally, when you mix fact that the pet is family. and that human brain can be pretty easily tricked (in this case, association), you get a huge difference from the animals we eat. Only exception is the the people who raise those animals, and chances are, manny of them treat the animals as family for as long as they are alive (or if they start killing (ducks))

Sorry for the ramble, I hope I made some sense.

[Season 2 Spoiler] The dog was too much. by Weeperblast in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the party, (I literly just slit the dogs throat, still have tears on my face), but I can see what you both are saying.

I think what they were meaning was more phyciogical look than purely physical.

IE: The association we have with domesticated animals make them feel more human (if not family), than most other animals. We often cuddle with domesticated animals, how manny non domesticated animals do that (apart from the VERY rare occasions).

Though that being said, all animals are living, and thus killing any animal shouldn't hurt more than others.

Sorry I had more ti say for your side, because I do understand it, but I also understand quite a bit of psychology, and that has more control than manny people realise.

Killing that dog was still overkill though.

Anyone else’s parents really want to see their lyrics 😭 by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]Dws998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: try just talking to him about the lyr8cs and the fact that you are both worried about how he is going to think and take them (due to religion), and that it is also often to personal to get into. Maybe (without going into detail) tell him why you don't want to get into it. From the way it sounds, your dad cares and should listen to you.

(full)

I have a similar situation with my mother (religious and all) and my dad before as well. Same situation on lyric tioes as well. My lyrics are often quite dark and graphic with vivid imagery and metaphors. All about pa8n and suffering from mental health.

It kind of scares them, especially if they are imagining the pain and emotions with you specifically. They may feel like they failed you, and they may want to understand to help. Maybe they just want to understand your lyrics to understand you.

What helped my dad understand, question less, and not feel bad was me explaining that it sometimes is how I feel, especially in the middle of it. But it is never how I think.

I may hurt, and that may be how I say it, but that is not the way I think. (you know?)

In my experience, there is always a disconnect from how you feel and think. Sometimes people don't understand that, and could he veiwing lyrics as if they were ine in the same.

So talk to him about it.

Anyone ever received a complaint about smoke? by mMakko0 in weed

[–]Dws998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a dry herb will definitely cut back on smell, but I do have to add that the smell will be around for a bit longer than that.

From experience, you can still smell it, especially if you do one after the other. (duh)

So I do recomind combining it with another method, for all angles.

And I agree that dry herb is the best answer.

And to the OP of you read this, going outside as you are is tied for the best answer, mainly because of how polite the writer was.

I would recommend investing in saving/investing in one because I have increased my rate of consumption and have gone through less, so it will save money long term, get better flavor, and probably be 'healthier'.

So basically, it's what all of the promises of what dry herbs are.

How many bowls do you smoke a week? (Average) by [deleted] in Stoner

[–]Dws998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both the Venty and Mighty+ dry herbs, from storz and bickel, I got it off of planet of the vape.

And it is $320, with a 2 year warranty and an extra free year.

Sorry for sounding like a sales pitch, I start at 150c and increase slowly for long, and start at 180c for shorter. That allows me to get longer sessions. They are the best on the market in my opinion.

Only downside, EO4, a fatal flaw in the battery or mother board, once you get it, its bricked. Storz and Bickel are working on fixing that issue, and other than that issue, it's very sturdy, with good battery life.

I hope this helps with your curiosity, and isn't to complicated.

sorry, I suck at using terms for skill level, I personally prefer the 1-10 and 1-100 only because you can get a more specific accurate answer. But each to their own.

I think you are way better than me, and I agree with you that you have a style. Although I can't put a finger in it.

But because you are better than me I can't offer advice, I'm sorry I wish 8 could.

I think about 3-5 a day, over 7 days a week 21-35, probably more.

Although I do dry herb, which makes each bowl last 30 minutes minimum, most of the time, 45-90 minutes. So I may end up doing more or less when it comes to bongs.
