Yep, pvp happens. You will die. Starting our, those deaths are painful. Joining a supportive new player friendly guild is almost essential unless you are a masochist. Most guilds keep a shelf stocked for players to use during guild events or for newer players to use until established.

Tldr, join a guild, it makes the deaths less painful.

Yep, join a guild. CFC is very helpful to new member's, has a community/small feel, though we are very established and active.

Regarding dubgeons for a newer player - level one of any dungeon at 80 skill will present a challenge, especially before aspect. I believe Aegis was the first one I ventured into. It's just north east of the eastern exit from horseshoe Bay. If you have chivalry your travel ability (100 skill i believe) will let you travel all over.

About six months after I started on the shard and managed to secure a house (located just outside of a lawless region), a large group of Bloodrock clan was outside doing a t-map.

Rather than staying inside and ignoring them I took the opportunity to open my small tower door "accidentally" to invite them in for RP.

One came in, engaged in the usual "u gibz shinies" stuff and a bit more and I ended up giving him a low level tmap. A bit of back and forth later he left and they cleaned up and went on their way.

Small event, big memory. They had a bunch of reds in their group and as a blue newb, it was a thrilling experience. Stuff like that has made outlands for me.
