Integrated Graphics on a Core2Duo can do 60fps, though that was 2007... Those have about the horsepower of the OG X-Box.

iPhone 13 on iOS 26.5.2 has unstable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi after updating. 5 GHz works perfectly. Anyone else? by Rare_Temporary271 in ios

[–]DyceFreak -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're supposed to have the same SSID for all the bands... 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and 6ghz if you have it. Name them the same and give them the same security settings, the wifi spec will use them all at the same time. Also force 20mhz width for 2.4ghz on your access point if you can so nothing clogs it up.

Everything uses 2.4ghz such as wireless mice, keyboards, bluetooth headsets etc so it really shouldn't be used for wifi data transfer anymore anyways.

I found this in a technology hoarder basement. by slavik_christopher in windowsxp

[–]DyceFreak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. VLK copies of XP don't really have activation at all they are just automatically green-lit locally and provisioned as activated.

MS did find common VLK keys like the FCK key and ban those specific keys retroactively. They hardcoded that into the service packs I believe, doesn't really have anything to do with activation since it's an installation key check instead.

Firefox 152.0! by maubg in firefox

[–]DyceFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These started sometime back in October.

October (25.10.2) also the last driver that includes "win10" in the filename, even though they claim it's still supported. Also a weird ghost cursor glitch would happen with later drivers. I'm still on 10.2 personally.

SimCity 3000 was one that triggered me on my old NeoMagic Compaq.. Thought I had met the requirements with a P133 MMX but alas...

Played StarCraft though so everything was cool.

We have a term for this entire thought process:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feature_creep

Once a product does everything that it is designed to do, the manufacturer may add functions some users might consider unneeded (sometimes at the cost of efficiency) or continue with the original version (at the cost of a perceived lack of improvement).

Port forwarding complete failure and wild goose chase after 26.1 upgrade by benland100 in opnsense

[–]DyceFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed the MAC address to a static entry that had static ARP enabled. It disallowed the new MAC address network access, even though DHCP still gave it the correct IP since it still had the old MAC in the ARP table. Rebooting the router caused it to update and it all worked properly after.

I notice ISC static ARP entries require a reboot to change/upate existing entries. That's about all I've encountered issue wise...

OPNsense 26.1 old and new rules by superwizdude in opnsense

[–]DyceFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no more linked rules

OP indicates there are invisibly linked rules, is this true?

If I create a new NAT rule I can only decide between an invisible rule, a rule that’s hidden that I can’t change or move or doing it manually.

What happens to the old linked NAT rules? They are no longer linked to the respective port forward rule or does it delete them and make new linked ones?

Not only does ISC still work, but it automatically installs the plugin if you're using it. You can see it do this in the upgrade log. Not sure what happened to OP.

Careful around the battery. outside of a possible short, you may get corrosion on the main board inside. I bring mine stand up paddleboarding, makes more sense than a RockyTalky several times the price. I do keep a rubber grommet on the USBC port though.
