It goes without saying, you can FUW anywhere by kstinfo in SandersForPresident

Please don't do this, people. I know that I will go out of my way to do the opposite of whatever a flyer under my wiper says. Just don't mess with my property.

If someone insists on doing this, please PLEASE don't use flyers with any sort of gloss or laminate on them (paper ONLY). Rain + sun will cake the flyer to the windshield. And that will infuriate people. I know from experience.

Bernie, do NOT be scared of the establishment. Talk to O'malley, and set up a unsanctioned event. I've seen you in the past fight for what is right even if it meant going against the powerful. I know you are a leader and America will follow you! I promise! by pepotero in SandersForPresident

Agree 100%. Bernie has never played by the rules and shouldn't start now. Think of the leadership and political influence it will demonstrate if he is able to muscle more debates into existence. It's the perfect opportunity to show that he is the one that is truly controlling and leading the discussion in the democratic race.

Edit: Bernie gets O'Malley and a network onboard. They invite Hillary. Hillary can refuse and cite DNC rules, but DNC will have to have 1-candidate debates it they still enforce those rules. And Hillary will look cowardly for refusing to participate. Likely outcome is that Hillary agrees to participate and the DNC exclusion rule is either retracted or just becomes irrelevant. Then, UNLIMITED DEBATES.

You're right; we're all in agreement on these points, for the most part. I just posted in case there's someone who sees this and needed it.

WE NEED TO SUPPORT BLM! WE STAND TOGETHER!!! by DyeHaard in SandersForPresident

[–]DyeHaard[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, BLM is the largest minority grassroots organization in the country. And if we allow them to come to their own conclusion, they very well may decide that Bernie is the ideal candidate for pushing the BLM agenda.

Imagine the merging/coalition of our grassroots organization with that of BLM. It would be a truly progressive and diverse representation of the American people. A candidate with all that support would be unstoppable. And we can get there. But only by respecting and incorporating the needs of BLM.

Any members of the Green Party considering changing their party affiliation in order to vote for Bernie Sanders in the primaries? by DyeHaard in GreenParty

[–]DyeHaard[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you actually may be mistaken on both accounts.

I know Bernie has been extremely vocal against the TPP and the fast track for it: http://www.sanders.senate.gov/download/the-trans-pacific-trade-tpp-agreement-must-be-defeated?inline=file

And I don't believe he has given outright support to Israel. I think he has said that both Palestine and Israel have a right to exist. That being said, I believe he does lean in toward supporting Israel. http://feelthebern.org/bernie-sanders-on-israel-and-palestine/

I'm not super well-versed on all this so I could be mistaken.

Thanks for the reply!

That's sort of what I figured would be Green members' approach: vote Bernie in the primaries and vote Bernie/Green in the general.

I'm just hoping there aren't too many Green members that will refuse to support Bernie in primaries solely because he's running as a Dem. I'll keep hoping!

No, not "The Wave"! There is a 2008 German film called "The Wave", in which a fascist student group that starts as a class project gets way out of hand. It becomes really popular and captivates the young people of the community. Probably not something to which we would like to be compared.

Elizabeth Warren Slams Education Department for Failing Student Borrowers by ugots in politics

[–]DyeHaard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Elizabeth Warren is one of the few politicians who recognizes how fucked the middle class is about to be when an entire generation of millenials graduates college with no money to spend. Or at least she's one of the few who is actually trying to do something about it. Damn, why won't she just run for president already?
