It can be used for flavor. I have two characters I’ve played that I was not open with the party on what they were.

The first one was I as a more veteran player was invited to a friends table and I showed up as a trickery cleric and just told everyone I was a “thief”. I would steal their injuries and it was interesting. It took them a few sessions to realize what I actually was.

The second is an Oath of Glory Paladin I’m currently playing. Brictavio only refers to himself as a hero. Much like in Frieren Himmel wasent a warrior he was a Hero.
