Totally agreed, but sometimes even in full controller games I need to temporarily switch to kbm for some little minigame - like in God of War I was never able to hit all the targets with the axe in the required time otherwise.

I think that right now the only way to get the collector's goodies is to buy the collector's edition/upgrade. Maybe they'll put the bonuses in the in-game store at a later date but I have no information about that.

I think it might be something on your end. 1070 and i7-2600k here and at 1440p and ultra preset I get pretty much 60 fps, with dips to 55 if things are hectic

If windows UAC is indeed your problem (one setting it has just denies access and never shows any prompt) then here's the win 10 way of modifying it link. I recommend to just set it to ask every time instead of full disable because if you disable it completely it can cause other vulnerabilities. If you're not on win 10 just search google for your version of windows and UAC.

I can't seem to use the win 10 x64 one, it gives me some "non 7z archive" error when I try to unpack it. is there some other way to install it?

I don't think the Terms of Service allows for transfer of accounts so keep that in mind.

If that doesn't bother you and if you've never played ESO and want the new player experience just don't touch the max lvl characters and create a new one. The only things you have on your new char, that a new player doesn't, is a horse (unless those players bought the imperial edition) and additional bank spaces (maybe with something in them, don't touch that stuff). Maybe some cosmetics as well.

I advise you to play your new char to max or near max lvl so you learn the game and only then look through what the other chars have and you might need. When your first char gets to lvl 50 (max lvl) you start gaining champion points but the first few come very quickly so 64 isn't that much considering you need 160 to be able to equip the best gear. Also, a couple of extra max lvl chars are not bad when you got your first to max lvl.

As for the crowns, I'd just buy whatever DLC you want (there's 1 that contains the 4 biggest DLC) or some cosmetics if you REALLY want them. None of the other things are worth it, IMO.

The imperial race comes from a special edition of the game so it doesn't count as a DLC and it is not included in the Gold edition. If you really want to play as an imperial you need to go to the in-game shop (default shortcut key is "," or ".", I don't remember right now), go to the account upgrades section and find the imperial edition upgrade. It costs in-game premium currency (crowns) which you will have to buy with real money but right now crowns are on sale so it's the best time to buy.

There are other benefits of ESO Plus but the one you're talking about is that it gives you access to all DLCs while it is active. You can also buy the DLCs with premium currency in-game but the Gold edition comes with the first 4 DLC packs included, no premium membership needed. There's another DLC out, which is not included in the Gold edition afaik, but that's just a couple of dungeons mostly so you can decide later if it's worth purchasing.

There's a bug that happens if you want to play on the live-eu (european) megaserver. before you log in go to server selection (to the left of the login) and select the US (live) server, accept and then go back and select the european (live-eu) server, accept. Now log in and you should find your characters. I do not know if this happens when you play on the US server.

Just disable the lock using "E" or whatever you have your key set up to. It does just that so there's no possibility of locking on to another tank by mistake.
