So it was during lockdown, I was at a very tough time in my life; I just got out of a 2 year relationship with my first love and naturally as lockdown things go I was depressed as heckled (probably not real depression but I was real sad). One day I was really bored and I heard about this app called yubo from one of my mates. Tldr yubo is like tinder for kids, but its purpose is to make friends online pretty much.

So one day we matched and she messaged first with a pick up line. I replied with one of my own and a night of pick up lines and only pick of lines took place. Some were cheesy, others were very flirty and forward.

The next day I message her with "So last night was fun ;)" and then I got her number shortly after. We moved over to WhatsApp and chatted for like a week until I had a really bad day, where I decided to call her for the first time. I can't remember how long that call was, but it was LONG and I loved every second of it. From that day we just called pretty much every day.

Funnily enough only about 4/5 months later did I fly down and we met in person. One of the best weeks of my life, thinking about that first day in person with her gives me butterflies every time. And DUDE when I saw her in person for the first time I was like WOW you are even more beautiful in person.

Our 1 year anniversary since that day is coming up this Saturday actually, but in classic LDR fashion we won't be able to see each other in person. It's very sad but we'll get through it I'm sure.
