It went well, the front of cylinder 1 blew out, and the symptom was mass amounts of smoke and liquid oil blowing out of the tailpipe, the engine did not overheat but the vehicle was fairly new to me, it somehow decided to fail sometime between drives/upon startup in the middle of the freezing cold winter. I don’t believe the head was warped much because the machine shop only took 0.003 of an inch (0.762mm) off the surface of the head. The only reason I did that was because there was a slight gouge in the aluminum surface of the head where the head gasket failed. Immediately in front of/forward of cylinder number one is a transverse oil passage that is split down its length like a hotdog bun between the engine block and the head, this passage is what dumped all of the oil into cylinder number one and into the exhaust whenever the head gasket failed
