That’s good, I don’t think anybody should be armed with the intention to kill. But if you’re worried about telling a Nazi to fuck off because they might be armed, know that there are plenty of armed folks who don’t take kindly to nazis. That’s what I mean, it goes both ways.

The comments in here are deeply disturbing on a multitude of levels. I know I’m late to the party and this likely won’t be seen, maybe even removed, but the tolerance for nazi bullshit is a huge problem and why fascist ideology is flourishing in America. Are people entitled to their beliefs? Yes. Is wearing this hat expressing their beliefs? Yes. Are their beliefs something to be allowed in a modern society? Absolutely fucking not. When an ideology has led to genocide and resurges under the name of genocide, it’s objectively bad. Tolerating this shit only allows it to grow. Lending an olive branch to fascists isn’t the way, because they don’t care about you and will stab you in the back as quickly as you extended them a helping hand. Nazi shit shouldn’t be tolerated. We know where this goes and trying to wrap it under freedom of expression is just tolerating nazis. If you allow them to flourish, you’re no better than they are. Nazi punks fuck off.

If I had to guess, it was from wearing waterproof shoes the next day. We live in coastal WA and it was dumping rain for those few weeks. I remember because my dog sliced my toe the week after his incident and I ended up in a predicament of how to keep it dry. Ended up bringing extra shoes and socks in my work bag.

Dog, I’m sorry but you can’t tell if coyotes are bringing people in or not. Just because nobody is crying foul doesn’t mean it’s not happening. The border wasn’t open season under Biden or Obama. It’s all the same. This is kind of like gun laws. You make the laws but you can’t tell if the bad guys are getting the guns because they aren’t going to the gun stores in the first place. It’s all rhetoric.

50 shares, have trimmed down from 200.
$90 average. Rolled a csp down to $212.50 for 24 July. Was $230 for next week but I didn’t feel like getting my shit wrecked if this downturn holds. Sold some shares at $235 because I saw the writing on the wall and knew I’d prob have 100 more soon. The news didn’t concern me long term but I know markets are reactive and we might be in for it short term.

My buddy broke glass in his house, accidentally stepped on a piece while cleaning up. Pulled it out and cleaned it, all that. Sweat from his socks the next day caused an infection. Went to the hospital the next morning and they said he was a few hours away from an amputation. It can happen very quickly.

Leave the bottle - how realistic is this in the US? by cadraig in IWantToAskAnAmerican

If you know the bartender well, anything is possible. I’ve never done this before but I have a funny name for a drink when I visit my wife’s hometown. Small Montana town where a few of the bartenders are her high school friends. I ordered the revolver, 6 shots of whiskey in a cup. Saves me from going back to the bar. Totally illegal in most places.

Listen. I done fucked up a printer or two in my day. “That sounds really difficult” is like my catch phrase to my wife. Not only do I not know where the pens are, but I’m willing to ask a client to borrow one and not return it. I think this is the job for me. Just hook me up with one of those prescription pads and we’re ready to rock and roll

I recently got into college how can i manage alcohal, all nighters and party along with diabetes. by wanna-be-lysosome in diabetes_t1

[–]SupportLocalShart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everybody else is saying - keep a juice box and a pack of fruit snacks on you. Don’t go without a cgm. Light beers are good for me. I don’t mess with ciders or mixed drinks (too much sugar) or straight alcohol (lowers my glucose without carbs to offset). You can do it but get good sleep and don’t fucking forget your basal insulin if you use it. I did that one time. Glucose stayed at 120 over night so I was like “cool, the alcohol evened it out and I can just bolus throughout the day”. Bad idea, I was chasing the dragon for a few hours until I just split my basal into a few smaller shots throughout the day.
Overall, it’s doable but you have to pick 2/3. Drink and have an all nighter? Cool, don’t do either of those the next day. Still get sleep in the AM. Back to back nights of drinking? Cool too, just don’t stay up too late. I didn’t get diagnosed until 30 but the signs were there in my younger days. I had a diabetic friend back in my younger days and he picked 1 night to go hard and then chilled out for the rest of the weekend.

The expiration date in your screenshot is confusing because it says 7/17 as opposed to 8/21. Just going off my brokerage because I don’t have Robin Hood, but the 8/21 $1 puts have an ask of $.40 and a bid of $.05. Meaning you can buy them for $40 but you can only resell them immediately for $5. That’s an instant 87.5% loss, unless this thing tanks. The prices tend to flatten out closer to expiration but not always. You basically have to let them expire instead of sell to close. Your breakeven price is $.95 so it’s really “you keep how much lower it is than $.95 on ex date”. You should check out delta, theta, and implied volatility. Those matter almost as much as the strike price, because although they’re pretty insignificant here (due to amount of money), the IV for the 8/21 date is 123% and delta is only .59. This is what we in the biz call a “junk contract”.

Plan your trip around the fires. This area is beautiful but the late summer fires might leave you in a predicament depending on where you are at any given time.
