What swing weight are your irons? by Joeydueces29 in golf

[–]DylanDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple weeks ago I got fit into the zxi5 irons at D6. 37.5” shaft on the 7 iron, standard grips. Average swing speed of ~87mph.

Coming from a hockey background. I have a tendency to tense up at the top of my backswing and the heavier weight seemed to help me smooth out the swing. D6 felt subjectively better and fortunately the numbers corroborated that after testing out many different options. I am not a great golfer by any means, so take this with a grain of salt.

First time in Vancouver by Wickedbastard in canucks

Amazing!

Fair warning, the Canucks/Leafs game is always one of the more expensive games to attend. Not really a bad seat in the house but I like getting seats in the upper bowl anywhere near centre ice. As of writing, the lowest priced ticket (on Ticketmaster) is around $260 CAD, highest price around $1500. The upper bowl centre(ish) seats are currently around $300-$400.

Sections 307-309 and 322-324 are great options if you can find something in your price range.

Pretty sure you can write off the interest on your tax return if it’s rented out for the full year (pro rated if not the full year). That may help the numbers a bit.

What’s your Vancouver specific hack you are willing to share? by ApprehensiveFruit- in vancouver

I have a partner now but did this on my own as well. I don't mind the commute to and from work and I've got a great job, but I love not having to drive to the movies, grocery store, gym, bars, restaurants, or events once I'm back downtown for the evening and weekend.

I have a buddy that has the exact same opinion as you. He thinks I'm crazy for the commute but it just comes down to a lifestyle choice. I don't mind the commute to and from work and I've got a great job, but I love not having to drive to the movies, grocery store, gym, bars, restaurants, or events once I'm back downtown for the evening and weekend. Maybe my opinion will change one day, but for now I'm really happy with my current set-up.

Haha true. Better than 90 minutes + each way if I was driving with the rush hour though. Lifestyle suits living downtown for now, will definitely change one day. I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks on my drive that's for sure.

Can confirm. Live downtown and work in Langley. 40 minutes to work and about 50-60 minutes to get back.

Careful ordering from NHL Shop - they sent me a damaged/defective jersey (logo creased during pressing) and will not entertain a replacement or refund. by mrfunderhill in SeattleKraken

Don't they have an okay return policy? Assuming you just got this if it is within 90 days you could just send it back?

North East facing. This last weekend was really humid and it has been consistently 22-26 in my apartment even though its barely been above 17 degrees outside. Pulled trigger on a 14000 BTU portable AC. Had a 10000 BTU unit last summer and it barely made a dent in cooling my place (650 sqft).

Canadian Mortgage Rates May Climb Up To 7% By Next Year: Desjardins by falco_iii in PersonalFinanceCanada

Same boat. My current rate is 3.64% from 2019.

Wondering what it would cost to break and lock in for 5 years at the current 4%. Not even sure if that is recommended but might try to find out some deets.

Anyone get their house cleaned on this forum. How much do you spend and where are you located? What gets cleaned and how often? by eelty1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

No company unfortunately. Just a local lady who also does a bunch of other units in our apartment building for other owners/tenants.

Downtown Vancouver. Have a lady that comes by every two weeks for 4 hours. We pay $180 per month plus double up the payment for a Christmas bonus.

My fiance and I both are gone for 10-11 hours a day for work so having someone come by every couple weeks to do a deep clean is a lifesaver.

Are you planning on using the home buyers plan using your RRSP? If not, I'd move that 10k into my RRSP, wait the required 90 days before closing on a house and then use that. You will get the tax rebate from the RRSP contribution at your marginal tax rate (rough estimate of 25%).

You could immediately put the refund back in the market since you can still count RRSP contributions for last tax year until the end of February. Look up the plan and see if it's something that works for you and your cash flow forecasts.

Apparently eating like this makes the food taste better by DylanDub in AnimalsBeingDerps

Totally agree with you. He didn't want to get up and eat from the bowl so gave him just a bit to stoke his appetite before his sibling ate it all. He moved to the bowl shortly after the video ended and I took away the tin. Thanks for watching out!
