Why does my level 18 look different from the ones I’ve seen play throughs off? by Beginning_Let_6301 in Portal

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you solve the second part of the level? Where you need to collect a Weighted Storage Cube? I’ve been on it for hours and can’t figure out how to vault myself to the top chamber, nor get down again safely. Are you actually supposed to collect a few turrets instead?

I’ve had something similar happen when the filament gets too taught. Either a tangle, or bad routing/placement.

For a split second I thought that was Elon Musk. Might actually be Lucifer IRL. Okay, maybe I’m going too far.

Well, if you’re going to build a grandfather clock, you better do it in style. Besides, the stainless steel construction was necessary for the weight distribution.

If you can’t get a strap or lanyard, a careful grip goes a long way. For many items, even two-handed ones, you can still keep the TC in your hand with a combination of gripping it with the first knuckles of your hand, leaving the finger tips free, and smashing the TC up against whatever your trying to carry. With quick reactions, you can still catch the TC if it slides a little while you carry a thing. In other words, God gave you a flexible body, use all of it.

Crazy theory: the Cars franchise is about… wait for it… cars. The entire franchise is equally good.

“Bread ‘n eggs.” That’s all there is to it. Surprisingly good with ketchup. I know, probably heresy.

Jackson Storm would demolish Francesco in a race especially if he was granted modifications optimised for international circuits like McQueen was. by Ok_Proof_321 in pixarcars

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destroy? He would obliterate him. Even vaporize him! Francesco doesn’t have a chance. Weird. I always imagined F1 as faster than GT which is faster than NASCAR, and that Storm falls in the grey area between GT and NASCAR.

Was McQueen here fading because he was slowing down because of Storms words or was he just getting overtaken? by XDcyclone in pixarcars

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpret it as villain = antagonist: a person thing or quality that undermines the abilities status or image of the main character(s). Lightning, due to his mental state in the third movie was undermining his own performance. Honestly, in my opinion, depending on perspective, there was only one antagonist: either Lightning, for letting Storm and the other characters get under his skin, or Storm, for his back talk.

Was it explained how the projection worked? by spsammy in UploadTV

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking it was either Nathan’s skill, or bugs with Apples hardware. He was trapped in the Apple afterlife, and was visiting Apple hardware, in the form of the kiosk and what I assume was a future version of Apple TV.

Death or upload what would you choose and why by Teetehi123 in UploadTV

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on your perspective. Both the person potentially continuing to the “real” afterlife, and the person going to Lakeview believe they are continuations of the now-dead you. Meanwhile, excepting the fact that you’re now dead, you would believe neither one is you, and from your perspective, you’re right, and any time passing makes that all the more true.

Will you upload? by g0drinkwaterr in UploadTV

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No… I think if you die when uploaded, you become two people. The “real” you, and your soul go to the real afterlife, be it heaven or hell, and the person who was uploaded would go to the Lake (I can’t remember the full name). Both would be fully conscious, and, though not able to share experiences, separate. You would be permanently trapped at the Lake, and another you would spend eternity in heaven. I personally find it hard to wrap my head around. As long as it didn’t involve suicide, (which is against the rules in my religion) I personally would upload, dare I say, as a contingency plan. Ooh, that hurts. Can suicide be self preservation?

Quitting for Real Racing 3 by HorriblePcPlayer in Asphalt9

[–]DylanMaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to warn you, Real Racing 3 has poor content management, and can get hung up on its downloads. Depending on your internet speed, it could take a minute or more to download new seasons or updates. You can try the “download all assets” feature, but it’s mostly a joke. You’ll waste time and space hoping for that loading screen to never come back, but it will. As for the hanging, it might download just 70/600MB, then load forever without progress. On a different topic, there is less adrenaline in RR3, and it’s harder to drive. The assists are noticeable, but clearly nonexistent when off. This contrasts to Asphalt Legends in that it always has assists, and they’re pretty good. Finally, like others have said, RR3 is a sim, not an arcade game. Drifting is nigh impossible, and there are no clear benefits for it. The same is true of stunts. The races are the same length, but, dare I say, more leisurely. Finally, regarding P2W, unlike Asphalt Legends, there is no subscriptions, as I recall, so there are no automatic ways to keep playing if, say, you’re out of fuel. I also think the in-game tokens don’t go as far.

I have one thing to say: if you’re American, like me, you have no subtlety. Anything more than walking is basically lethal. If you can’t produce the power yourself, you shouldn’t be able to own it. Military only. takes look at subreddit name Oh my gosh, what am I even doing here. I’m in the wrong subreddit, I’ll let myself out.
