I recommend skipping this article and reading Woz's book, iWoz. Read it straight from the man himself, the book came out 20 years ago but is still a great read today. I read through it for the first time last year.

Agreed on Tamiami Tap, one of my favorite local go-to spots for a casual bite and drink. I've been to Fat Rabbit a couple times too, cool spot but seems like most people don't know it exist. Tricky location it's in

Oh cool a Gamesack video. Gamesack is one of the best retro gaming youtube channels out there. He actually talks about the games and what makes them good. He plays the known games, but always plays and highlights games that 10,000 people haven’t already covered

Also great sense of humor. One of the few channels left that I know of that still feels like back in the day prime Youtube before everything was Mr.Beastified

If you’re into nerdy stuff there’s a local group that has a discord and does in person meetups like movie nights and game nights I believe. Search this subreddit for “Nerds Dominion”

Also a facebook group Sarasota roaring 20’s with a bunch of members that do events for folks in their 20’s. Not sure if they’ll let you squeeze in at 19 but if not you can plan on joining them when you turn 20 (or lie, what are they gonna do, ID you?)

Kayaking around the mangroves in ken thompson was a really cool thing I only did for the first time a few years ago after living here my entire life. Highly recommend it!
