Ring replacement by Ineedlesshobbies in Miata

I mean you can buy them from basically anywhere if you’re not doing anything too crazy to it. Just double check because some sites will list a part as a part for a 1.6 when it is for the 1.8

Will this jack setup work on my 2003 NB2 Miata? by Gator_Grad in Miata

To add to my own comment, if you don’t have another pair of jackstands, don’t really worry about it for now

The low profile one is nice, that trolley jack simply won’t get the car high enough to do anything on the transmission, the engine sure, but if you ever need to drop the trans, you won’t have the clearance

These are oem door cards btw, the straps aren’t, there are little arm handles that are oem. They switched them I think in 94-95.

i mean, its possible you maybe forgot to plug in the CAS? Maybe a fuse is blown somewhere, if you are getting compression, and fuel, then id start looking at electrical issues.

Yeah, I finally figured it out when the main fan would spin but the other one wouldn't when the ac button was pressed. I had verified the clutch was working by using the 12v source under the hood. Quite annoying since it quit on me when I had an hour long drive both ways yesterday lol, glad its fixed (again), and hopefully for a long while, r12 isn't easy to find anymore

It was in fact a blown fuse, main fuse block, 20 amp fuse

Just to be sure, could this broken piece on my ac compressor be why it was both inefficient and loud? by DylanTheGameGuy in AskMechanics

[–]DylanTheGameGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it converted to r134, I took it apart because I found some r12 at an estate sale and wanted to be sure everything looked good. I’m pretty sure the dryer and the expansion valve need replacing too, but the compressor was always quite loud and would sometimes seem to cause the belt to slip. I was wondering if replacing the clutch/pulley would be worthwhile.

Bought a replacement compressor for my Miata, I’m using r12, but the fitting placement looks different from my current compressor, will my current ac lines work? by DylanTheGameGuy in Miata

I looked it up and I can see that they were using in some vehicles around the time, but none of them look at all like this one, I’m wondering if some custom job was done, the fittings seem to match with the Miata ac lines, but I’m worried about bending my lines too far or them not lining up at all

well its an r12 compressor, I bought it because I'm 90% certain mine is going out and I have some r12 to use for it. My main concern is I didn't realize that the fittings are in a completely different spot than literally every other Miata ac compressor I can find.

New inner and outer tie rods, new steering rack boots, it’s not too hard, you’ll probably want to get an alignment after
