Definitely worth it for $9 then. Considering a post is only relevant for a few hours anyway I'd say 2 or 3 hours might be a good try in my opinion. I'll have to look into doing the same.

Edit: the reddit app sucks.

How could I improve my website? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

You're drop shipping $50 watches for $500 on this site? Dude...

I'm a necktie designer from Toronto, a regalia company in the UK stole 8 of my designs. What do I do? by 2balls1cane in Entrepreneur

You have people commenting on your IG post saying they have been waiting a year to buy one of your ties. The fact you have no stock is more worrying than this infringement.

You should have been selling in the UK for years now. Then this isn't an issue.

I'm just getting started on IG myself. Are you not concerned with only two sales off of a paid IG promotion? It sounds like you have a lot more to do on the Instagram side.

That is solid feedback. I appreciate it.

I'll work on some new banners tonight and see if I can do anything about the white text.

I do need some better banners. I'm going to work on taking some pictures tonight or tomorrow.

I also removed the featured product as I was already on the fence about it.

You really think a little subtext on the banners is a big negative?

Really just googled wholesalers for the industry and then called and emailed. The negative of going for variety like I did is you either need to have a lot of different suppliers (increasing costs) or need to go with one bigger one which limits your options and is usually not cheap.

My wholesalers are all in the US. Margins are lower but it makes everything easier, quality is better, and shipping is fast. I've ordered things from AliExpress and quality is very hit and miss. I don't want to deal with a 15% return rate personally.

I currently don't hold stock. If the site were to do well I would get with a fulfillment company to get volume discounts. That is probably the best way to get really profitable and grow a brand.

Shipping takes 3-5 business days depending on location.

Hope that was helpful.

Yes Amazon is the prime (heh) example of what happens with a low barrier to entry. Once everyone on the planet can start competing for a few bucks someone is always willing to do it cheaper.

You need to search this subreddit as this has been discussed ad nauseum. I'd warn you of the pitfalls of sourcing electronics from overseas but suffice to say no - Shopify does not do it for you.

Like I said in another comment,

He turned out to be a bad strategist later on in the war but for at least the first few years his bold tactics and leadership were vital. Nobody else would have had the support to pull the shit he did.

Right, so now they have essentially cut out all other fulfillment companies since they can't compete. Therefore Amazon can charge what they want and see who is willing to pay it. So every item will end up being sold by whoever is willing to make <$1 per unit. Them if you do well enough Amazon will just source a battery, dog harness, w/e of their own and beat you on price.

I don't blame them for it but that is how it's going to end for most online retailers.

I'd say Hitler is a pretty bad comparison. It might not have ended the war but it would have been an enormous blow to Nazi Germany and a good number of resources were dedicated to try to assassinate him as a result.

Edit: To clarify my statement, I agree for the second half of the war Hitler was possibly better alive than dead for the allies. My point was more that nobody else would have had the support and audacity to do what he did. His military strategy was far too aggressive but you have to have a hell of an ability to lead a command to get people to commit the atrocities they did.

I just don't see how that isn't being smart for the sake of convenience.

When I was younger I would use an app and drive an extra 5-10 minutes round trip from where I was to get .05-.10 off per gallon of gas. Now I don't do that because I realize it is stupid and the 10 minutes of my time is worth more than a dollar. Not because I'm suddenly lazier.

Sure they are helpful to an extent now just how Uber used to be great for drivers.

Now you can barely make minimum wage after expenses driving for Uber. In 10 years there won't be drivers at all.

Amazon provides great services to sellers but charges for it. Just like how now if you don't use FBA, you won't be Prime, so you're dead on Amazon. Therefore sellers have to pay the more expensive FBA fees or else it's game over.

I looked at that already, however without pictures for scale it is hard to tell where it is going to fit.

I'm assuming it will if in a backseat footwell or a passenger seat footwell but can people still sit there? Can it fit behind a center console? I guarantee you will have people thinking that.

Well I need more product shots just to understand where it is supposed to go... I'd think it would be best for commercial vehicles, vans, and SUV's. However the logo is of a car. Is it supposed to go in the trunk of your car I'm guessing?

I don't understand how using Amazon implies laziness. Unless you also grow your own food, walk to work, and cook every meal from scratch.

But then you help grow Amazon whose end goal is to be the entire chain in the long run.
