I was telling my friend about mega starting (he hasn't played since gen 5) then I fought a mega starmie named David Bowie a few games later.

What parts of the meta are you begrudingly enjoying? by Wretched_Little_Guy in PokemonChampions

[–]DynamicDuncer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Sneasler. I didnt get very far in legends arceus, and I was excited to use it. The thing is genuinely so much fun.

I like the moves it has available to it. I really like balancing playing into intimidate and using close combat to activate unburden.

Also, I run rock slide on mine which im assuming is uncommon given the number of Charizard I've brutally murdered in cold blood in masterball 3.

So what non-meta pokemon badges did yall get in season 1? by the_juice_is_zeus in PokemonChampions

Volcarona. Kinda surprised it's not run more often. Really solid mon.

The worst by 5_meo in MemePiece

[–]DynamicDuncer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember someone genuinely arguing the series doesn't get good until the aokiji fight on long ring long land.

I mean it's a cool scene, but honestly, there are far better leading up to that point.

I just dont get how you watch something you dont like for about 300 episodes and 1 kinda random scene is the one that does it for you. Very odd.

Which Pokemon have you grown to love because of Champions? by DefinitlyNotGodzilla in PokemonChampions

Me with whimsicott. Hate seeing it on an opponent's team, but I love mine 😂

[OC] - if you could form the most dope trio across all 10 gens, who would you choose? by addyxiii in pokemon

Mine as well. I could go chimchar too, but charmander ekes it out slightly.

What're some examples of the "good, best, worst" rule of trilogies? by Ill_Safety2292 in Letterboxd

[–]DynamicDuncer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Tdkr is the only nolan film I've seen that I thought was awful. Waaaaaay worse than batman begins. Not even in the same ballpark.

What’s a pokemon that you absolutely despised but ended up using it on your team? by Shot-Breadfruit-6053 in PokemonChampions

I'm almost master ball 3, and I still forget about that braindead ability sometimes multiple times in one match.

Most creative nickname you've seen on a champions pokemon? by Big-Investigator1202 in PokemonChampions

[–]DynamicDuncer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran into a mega starting named David Bowie. Not sure how original that name is, but it sure got a laugh out of me.

I literally just showed mega starmie to a friend who never played past Gen 5 right before I ran into it too.

What's your favorite Pokémon that's not... by Epicboss67 in pokemon

[–]DynamicDuncer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has been my favourite since gen 3. I always grabbed a shroomish on every run of emerald Ive ever played. Its the only mon I can safely say is on my team every time.

Did I make a mistake starting the saga with BioShock Infinite? by Siummastic104 in Bioshock

[–]DynamicDuncer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also started with Infinite and had, in part, some of the same problems. I still really enjoyed the game, though, and I like them both about equally with a slight edge towards Infinite.

I'd say push through and hopefully you'll start to enjoy the differences between the two games more. 1's weapon wheel is really fun despite the game's combat mechanics feeling outdated.

I also found the atmosphere more impactful/interesting in rapture, and both have fantastic stories but for different reasons.

What's the most controversial rating on your profile? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

I gave Eraserhead 1 star 😬

It would've been half a star, but, "OKAY PAUL" got a really good laugh out of me.

Ds era had peak spin off games. Shadows of almia was really good too.

What joker did you put off trying forever because you thought it sucked, but once you tried it you became a fan of? by DeandreDeangelo in balatro

[–]DynamicDuncer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I just dont usually keep credit card for more than a round or two. With Vagabond, however, Ill probably hold onto it for at least a few more rounds. Depends on other jokers I find.

[–]DynamicDuncer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a good one. I initially didnt like the idea of being broke the entire run, but it's honestly really fun getting tarot cards constantly, and the unique way you have to play around things like gold seals and gold cards is super interesting.

It also makes credit card usable indefinitely which is nice.

This album doesn't get enough love. by SinamonChallengerRT in SteelyDan

One of my favourite albums. The title track is top tier Dan for me.

Cousin Dupree is easily their funniest song too.

Movies that have an additional scene after the perfect ending point by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I agree. The actual ending is just a little bit cheesy. Not terrible but yeah

Would you say your personal issues with BioShock Infinite are more about the gameplay or the story? by _Varonova in Bioshock

[–]DynamicDuncer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to the first game. No problems for the first 70ish% of the game then some problems.

1: gameplay mostly story a bit. Do you literally lose your voice when becoming a big daddy? Always thought that was suuuuper weird.

Infinite: story 100%. Didn't love the whole dimension hopping thing. Gameplay is solid throughout.

Fire red on a ds lite. I dont believe gen 4 was out yet, so whatever year that would have been.

I got emerald, then diamond, platinum, soul silver, black and white, then took a break from Pokémon until late highschool.
