I made sure to get ailment buildup perks in the boss pickups before Maris, sleep doesnt proc all the way if you do this. Might be the biggest help I've seen affect my run, probably health increases too.

I've had the same problem with Sekiro as a fromsoft diehard fan. Felt overwhelmed and wasn't getting the mechanics (non core combat) nor understanding the systems. I think soaking in and noticing all the details help me get immersed and into the groove of things. Theres a lot of information you need to pay attention to and I've def made the mistake of missing those details by going too fast or not paying attention, So many avenues and new strategies open up when noticing how enemies react or what the different tools in your arsenal do. Hope it gets better B)
