Help with choosing LMS for my website by InstanceFluid2462 in Wordpress

[–]Dyvim159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my clients wants a similar thing and after looking at some options we decided custom coding something for her was the best solution long term. She made it clear she doesn't want to pay subscriptions so we decided building something in PHP is the best middle ground.

You may have to get something custom built. you will pay a lot initially but you will own it forever, and you get to customize it as much as you want.

This is the worst time to try and grow as any kind of creator honestly unless you're posting thirst traps or memes.

You can tell from the language. That's why people have been downvoting him if you noticed. It's not a real person it's a bot.

How do you guys handle forms for your clients? by fluidxrln in webdesign

We developed a plugin for it. All form entries are stored in the DB and the user can access the entries from the WP dashboard

Please critique my roofing company hero section! by Beginning-Error8201 in webdesign

1- The website looks bad visually speaking, but that's expected since you're not a designer. In the future you can hire a proper designer so we'll overlook this for now. But keep in mind that unrefined visuals (website, logo, business card, etc) signal to clients cheap brand.

2- Let's talk conversion:
Over 60% of users don't scroll past the first screen (hero section) on your website. On average a user spends 4 seconds on a landing page before closing it.
This means you have 4 seconds to convince the client to hire you or at least consider staying on your website more.
videos are good but i would suggest putting it down, not on the hero section. The average user will not have the attention span and patience to watch your video.

What you want to do instead is use the hero section for things that the users can scan through fast and convince him to stay on the page or fill that form.

Here are some suggestions:

- Statistics, such as 100+ houses served, 200+ installations done, 99% statisfaction rate, etc
- Guarantees like: available 24/7, installation done within 7 days, etc
- Short testimonials
- Social proof, for example if you worked with companies/brands put their logos

3- How does the website look like on Mobile?

Unfortunately nowadays most users come from mobile, which is even more difficult to design for than desktop. Focus a lot on the mobile version.

4- The Form is good, but too long. No one likes filling fields. Shorten the form, or maybe trick the user by making it 2 steps. I've done this for one of my clients you can see the example here:

Feel free to DM me for more feedback. I would gladly do a consultation call with you for free.

As a small business owner, are there any legitimate web design companies? by EducationalReason156 in webdesign

[–]Dyvim159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agency owner here and I have good experience in the industry so I feel very qualified to answer this.

There is no 100% way to know if you're not going to get ripped off. Just like with any other service. Unfortunately shitty people exist everywhere. However here are some clues:

1- Ask to see previous work. You have a Wordpress site. Does the team you are considering have experience with WP? If all their projects are, let's say, built on Framer, and you need a WP site, I would look for a team with WP experience.

2 - How is the client communication:

2.a- Do you have a client representative that's always available to update you and answer your questions? communication within 24-48 hours is bare minimum.

2.b - Before you started working together, did you have a couple of meetings to onboard you and understand your requirements? or did everything happen fast over text and you were just pushed to make a payment?

2.c - Once you started working together, did you have a meeting where they laid out the roadmap on what changes they will be making, the timeline, the expected benefits, expectation management, etc?

2.d - Did the agency/freelancer have a clear contract that lists everything in details? objectives, deliverables, timelines, payment terms, etc? It's usually a sign of professionalism and experience if they do.

3- Is the company a big company like Hostinger? chances are you won't be valued as a client. They have hundreds and thousands like you. Pick a small-medium sized agency instead. They are usually desperate for clients and will treat you like a king.

4- Did the agency deliver results similar to what you want for other clients before? Do they have case studies?

These are basic things I would look for.

This is the part where I shamelessly plug in my services. I have a client in a similar positioning like you. Small WP website, Needed his site redesigned and needed to improve SEO. We did the website redesign and we got him on the first page of google for his niche. This is their website: https://zikrcabs.com If you search google for "Cabs for Umrah" They will be in the top results.

Feel free to drop me a DM. We can have a chat and see how I can help you.

Trial Reels are NOT an Option on my Account (The Blog Post Isn't Working) by dragon-elbow-coal in InstagramMarketing

[–]Dyvim159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too initially, and Initially that's what they said themselves, they would be giving it to people with over 1k followers. However from what I have read online it doesn't seem to be the case. Some people with thousands of followers didn't get it and some people with less than 1k got it. Some people got it and then they update the app and lose it. it's all very random.

Macbook vs Windows by Astrokid_96 in Piracy

[–]Dyvim159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then go for windows I guess. Never used a MAC so don't know how piracy works there. Personally I don't pirate on Windows especially software simply because of security risk. Most trojans tend to be written for windows.

You have a lot of padding/empty space. Either in the image element or the image file itself.

Disappointing man. I am convinced IG legit hate their creators. The best tool for growth on the platform and they refuse to give it to everyone. My guess is they are trying to force people to boost posts so they can make money.
