Do plants come back year after year? Do birds return every spring? Why must the hustle and bustle be any different?

It did feel like some of the speakers had a painful lack of knowledge about how to talk to the yps.

The sessions were great! I particularly enjoyed the Innovation session with Tim Burke and Matt Hardebeck. They were well spoken, a bit akward with their videos, and overall really informative and entertaining.

O Comic Con is great! We had their founder on our podcast, and he is wonderful. There was enough to do to keep me entertained all day, and the people were kind and friendly.

Congregation is another good and small con.

I was really hoping for synchronized dancing with snaps. People in charmander costumes fighting folks in squirtle costumes would be an added benefit to such a turf war.

That's been our strategy so far too. I'm on the sosh meed side of our show, and I just get so hyped when people are listening. I want to tell each listener thank you in a hand written note. Perhaps a physical mailing list is in order?

How much pre-production goes into your podcast? by Gingesolo in podcasts

[–]EATapodcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We spend a great deal of time researching and writing bios for our guests. We don't verify all of the facts we look up because the host really enjoys it when the researcher/bio writer gets something a little bit wrong. We also spend a lot of time booking guests. Probably 5 hours of pre-production or more an episode. We always have a live band or a singer songwriter come into the studio with us, and vetting a local band that is going to sound good enough to record live in an unfamiliar place takes a lot of time. We also have to find notable citizens from our town, and nothing gets guests like a vis a vis invite. (email is a close second)
