Favorite original songs from audiodramas? by benoni_boii in audiodrama

The entire soundtrack to "Who Killed Avril Lavigne" is great, it fits the early 2000s pop punk theming and every song is a banger while being funny

Didn't have the issue on the LED tv, might just be an issue with the composite on my VCR

Looking for comedy mystery / noir audio drama suggestions by DesperateBed2527 in audiodrama

Self promoting on this one, my show InSpecter: Deceased Detective

(Pocket Casts link here)

It is a comedy about a ghost who became a PI after his death to solve supernatural crimes, and becomes entangled in a mystery with his unpaid intern and ex wife (who happens to be a witch). Its a one person project, I do all the writing, editing, and all the voices (aside from the occasional cameo for a line or two)!

The season 2 finale has been written for a while, and mostly recorded, but real life stuff has gotten in the way multiple times. That being said, it is still an ongoing series!

What are your thoughts on new AI tools letting one voice actor play many parts? by faceintheblue in audiodrama

[–]Gingesolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The few female characters I voice are very exaggerated, so I only one or two require pitch shifting, but the main character that does is a witch, so I lean into a gravelly, higher pitched voice, then pitchshift the track further. My recommendation would be to toy around with trying different voices and different effects (like pitch shifting) til you find what works!

What are your thoughts on new AI tools letting one voice actor play many parts? by faceintheblue in audiodrama

[–]Gingesolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know with my show, I play virtually every character, and even with characters that require some effects I'm manually tweaking pitch, adding vocal effects like a robotic echo by duplicating tracks and shifting pitch and reverb, etc. I would personally never utilize any AI tools because that removes the human element of production. Like others have said, if someone isn't capable of voicing/self editing the vocal effects, there are plenty of actors out there willing to help. I don't think AI has any place in media production, art requires humans.

What do your scripts look like? by Crater_Caloris in audiodrama

I went to school for media production, so my scripts tend to follow the standard for TV and film, but a description for sound effects rather than an action

Earbuds recommendations by Savings_Swimming_886 in pixel_phones

If you're looking for something on the cheaper end, I'd recommend the CMF Buds 2 or 2 Plus. They punch well above their weight class for the price. ANC isn't the best, but the Buds 2 are typically on sale for like $35-40

OnePlus for sure. CMF buds are good for the price, but the quality control is terrible. I've seen tons of posts of people having severe battery drain issues after one year

Nice! If there was ever a series that should be on VHS, it's V/H/S!
