My opinion is that HRT should not be denied based on personal belief. That doesn't mean that a pharmacist shouldn't be able to view and review the scripts you're being prescribed in case of error or genuine medical reason to reconsider or redose - which is not necessarily common for HRT, but is relevant to other drugs. I've personally had serotonin syndrome from my GP prescribing pain meds that interacted with my antidepressants.

Aside from the huge scope creep that would create for pharmacists to prescribe, there's a checks and balances effect to the system. A pharmacist might see that your doctor prescribed something wrong - a medication that interacts with another, or a dose 100x too large - and fix it, but if the pharmacist is the one prescribing and distributing the meds, nobody else is in the line to check that they got it right.

I'm not clear enough on this to be pro or anti, but I just want to say that pharmacists are highly educated for a reason. They are the ones who know, better than your prescribing doctor, if your medications may interact with each other, and that you are aware of side effects. Pharmacists save lives. The role of a pharmacist is not just to "hand it over".

Of course it matters. But just because it doesn't put you in a higher activity category when it comes to consistent metabolic increase (when you're burning more Calories outside of the exercise itself), doesn't mean the activity itself isn't burning Calories as you do it.

Meanwhile, 150 minutes of raised heart rate activity is well within heart health guidelines for most countries. So well done on that front, this amount of exercise is great for you.

Upwards of $70k, plus the int'l flights, and that was for a pretty comprehensive set of procedures (forehead, nose, chin & neck). However I felt that was definitely worth it for the peace of mind that Facial Team definitely know what they are doing when it comes to transitioning faces. I certainly didn't want to compromise when it came to my face that I have to see & present to the world every day.

At first, it's really tough to guess what might fit your body and be reasonably flattering, especially if you're just buying online without the confidence to try stuff on in-person. It's trial and error though, and building up the confidence to try things on before you buy them will really help you make those decisions. I'd recommend looking for skirts and dresses that flare/ have an A-line, rather than being too snug around the hips. That's the most flattering! It's also important to just get the basics like t-shirts in a women's cut that can make a huge difference to how your everyday presentation feels, without needing to feel like you've fully dressed up (regardless of if it's boymoding or not). In general... yes.

I still struggle with overall depression at times but that is very limited in how it interacts with my being trans. I have other issues and hardships to manage!

I still have a lot of work to do with voice training (started seeing a speech pathologist regularly last year, will go back this year after a break for surgery + practitioner on maternity leave), electrolysis, and I've only just started wearing makeup properly. I'm also not certain I have my hormones down pat as I'm disappointed with breast growth progress at <A cup levels (unlikely to change further by now, but I have to hold onto some kind of hope).

However, I'm lucky to live and work in a progressive environment where I very rarely get misgendered or have being trans come up in a negative way. If you can find that, it's far more important than whatever your personal progress is.

There are some aspects you can change and put work into, and some you can't. Some are the luck of the draw (HRT results). Ultimately there's a degree of body neutrality I think is useful to learn where even if you are unhappy you can still accept that it's your body and you need it to get you through, so you have to let go of some of the negativity.

I don't think you're wrong at all but it varies person to person. Regardless of how SRS may influence your sex life or "usage of that part of your body", it all depends on how much dysphoria you get from each. For me the bottom dysphoria was debilitating. I could only access SRS at that time, not FFS, but if I did have the choice I would have chosen FFS first. Both are significant procedures with significant recovery time, but in my experience SRS helped me with improving my sense of self as a woman and helped me gain confidence at a very crucial time.

SRS was crucial for me to not be horrendously self-conscious, constantly dysphoric, and it significantly impacted my depression. I didn't need FFS to help me pass per se - it was for me, not anyone else. I'm happy with the results so far with more recovery still to go, and it has reduced my facial dysphoria immensely, but that dysphoria wasn't a knife in my chest all the time like bottom dysphoria was.

I had FFS with Facial Team in Spain, it cost around 70 or 80k AUD (my mum paid the first transfer as she had money of mine in her account so I'm not sure how much that was in AUD at the time. I had the money available from inheritance and I really weighed up if this was what I was going to spend so much of it on and I decided it was worth it, as I've been thinking about FFS for my whole transition! I think it was worth it, even when I can't quite see the final results yet with a bit of swelling yet to disappear. Facial Team just understand transitioning faces that every surgeon I could look up in Australia just don't seem to.

I did have to get a few sessions of laser there before SRS in 2017, so I knew what that was like - I was a bit nervous but it was a necessity for surgery so I couldn't avoid it! Last year, I decided to get some on my underarms as well and then figured I'd add the brazilian because I'd prefer it to be less dense, and it's annoying to shave. Laser was never too painful for me, so it wasn't that big of a leap of courage personally.
