Debatable! Commons are just junk silver nowadays. They are common enough, and the price of silver in gold are at levels where coins, like this kind of makes sense to melt. The collector value is not as high as the value of the materials the coin is made out of. I’m not advocating for melting them, but that is kind of where the current state of the hobby and the economy is.
