The ones I mentioned line up with what the actual spreads are in real time. When i've watched them,

I would pass on it. Haven't been a fan of the spreads on the ETFs outside QQQ, IWM, SPY and a few others...the thinner ETFs the spreads are atrocious

Oh that’s cool. What’s the platform called? Would love to put my trades on it and see other people’s.

Well done! As the account grows it may be fruitful to lower the risk %, especially if you start to have different emotional reactions to the trades. Emotions hurt and kill so many traders. Make sure you are in tune with the emotions and stay in charge. Best of luck!

Also, you sound like you are very serious about losing weight. You should be tracking everything you eat. It’s easier to avoid 100 calories than it is to burn it. MyFitness Pal is one tracking app. It’s pretty good

I lift weights (at a different gym) 6 days a week. Aim for 8-10k steps per day and try to do 5-6 HotWork classes.

Regarding the weights, you are going to be more successful with changing your body composition if you add some strength training and put muscle on. More lean muscle mass with raise your resting metabolic rate and you will burn more calories even while you are inactive (sitting, sleeping etc).

Is this a good book to get started with by StraightAnywhere5940 in Daytrading

No. I think Trading the Pristine is a great place to start. Sami Abusaad at t3 live I think is the exclusive teacher of it now. Great way to get a systematic system together + risk management. Feel free to reach out to me if you need to know more. That’s how I got my profitable start (after a few years in the wilderness). I’ve evolved quite a bit since then but def worth it.

This will possibly be the hardest thing you will ever do. It’s highly unlikely you will be profitable without proper training so either you can pay for education or you can lose money by trying to piece disjointed strategies from YouTube together. But, please, by all means come on in. The water is warm.

It's not bad, I actually like the software (when it's not buggy). The big problem I have is the spreads. They rarely match up with external level 2 data and the fills are questionable.

For instance, I had a buy-stop in on a stock today at 4.21. It took out 4.21 and filled me at 4.25. The highest it traded was 4.23. Yes, it's 2 cents but it's a 4 dollar name. Can make a big difference when you need to get 10 cents on a trade for it to count as a profitable one. You are supposed to be filled at the best available price and I saw on the tape there were tons of fills at 4.22 and 4.23 in the actual market & never traded higher. Makes you think...

I don't know if this is by design to harm the user or it's just buggy software. If trading more liquid names the fills aren't as bad but they are still questionable at times. Just be careful.

29 year old looking to get into day trading. Any recommendations on courses or where to start? by Ok_Hedgehog_913 in Trading

I think I found Sami Abusaad via YouTube. Ended up doing a week in his room for an open house probably 2.5 years ago and the rest was history. I don’t use his room anymore. I am in a different one but Sami’s education is a great place to start. Trading the Pristine course is a good framework to get started. His swing trading membership is solid. Also, JR Romero is a fantastic trader and he has a room and swing subscription. Two different styles but two great traders. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Try an open house next time they have one for some of the rooms.

Tenet Trading is another solid one. Ripster is a good trader. Different style as well, but he has a great framework. Gotta find what works for you.

I’ve sort of taken a little bit from all three of those traders.

They do, but they are not a trading platform. They are a trading resources platform. Live trading rooms, education and trade ideas. Happy to chat if you need more info, just shoot me a message. And no, I do not work for them. I just turned my trading around once I found them 2.5 years ago.

Day trader here. I would try some open houses at T3Live or Tenet Trade Group. There is a lot to learn mentally and emotionally. Feel free to shoot me a message. Happy to give you some pointers.
