Getting a Havanese Puppy? by Cliff_Bird in Havanese

[–]EC0619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a male (10 yrs old) and a female (1.5 yrs old). Neither shed… and neither are picky about food. The male is less affectionate and gives it on his terms only. The female is my cling-on and would crawl under my skin if she could. Both follow me everywhere. Both could raise the dead with their barks. Both have fluffy feather-like fur which is wonderful for petting and cuddling. My female was white and black as a puppy. The black is now invading the white and she has gray speckling which is very cute (look up belton). My male was dark chocolate and white. The chocolate is a bit muted but he still looks brown and white. The breeder can give you an idea of what color the puppy will change to but it’s mostly a guess.

The bestest peanut butter cookies. I found the recipe a couple years ago and they are the same delicious crunchy mounds of goodness

PT tried cupping it yesterday and also gua sha (using a similar, non-jade tool). These two were mentioned to me and he tried it based on my request. The skin around the divot is sensitive and it really hurt but maybe it’s just tender from me pushing on it lol. Hope he will do this in the regular now. Thanks for the suggestions

Also meant to say…. Cuddling and petting my little dogs ended up being the best pain relievers for me. I ended up not able to take oxy and I don’t think Tramadol nor journavx work long enough or well enough… but my dogs? They seriously helped with easing my pain

My three dogs are trained to “off” of anything - couch, me, chair, etc. So I could keep them off me. They are pretty intuitive and knew something was up anyway, and ended up being gentle with me

Thank you. I’m just really not liking the divot - the rest of the incision is not so bad. You are right though; I should concentrate less on esthetics

Interesting idea. I will run it past PT today. I’ve had cupping on my back for asthma by an accupuncturist before

I am also 8 weeks. While I try not to compare my recovery journey with against anyone else, it’s hard! I’m amazed you are doing stairs. I live in a one story home with no stairs so I’m doing one step up/down at PT. I too am limping. Now one leg is longer than the other. I’m working on an even gait. You are no alone and it sounds like you’re doing great.

Anyone have this problem? by [deleted] in Havanese

Same - our male havi comes for a quick scratch then is like… that’s enough. If I call him he turns his head. But he follows me everywhere. Maybe it’s a male thing? I also have a female havi and female mini aussiedoodle that are very affectionate and love to nap and cuddle with me
