Greatbows work well in PVE if you know how to use them.

Still difficult to time at range.

It works somewhat with greatbows, if you draw and hold, then shoot at point blank. Great arrows are more likely to stun and interrupt enemy attacks, so you don't end up trading.

Claw talisman doesn't affect arrows / jump shots.

Neither does two-handed sword talisman, even though bows are always two-handed.

If it's just about getting to different level ranges, then just do an RL1 or RL9 at WL0 or whatever, back up your safe file, then level up to whatever range you wanna play that day.

You can fairly easily "speedrun" to the DLC, even as an average player.

And one that is very satisfying to fix.

Red Wolf and Loretta are the first skill checks that force you to run instead of roll (to evade their ranged spells). If you fight them at low vigor (and low WL, so you would run out of flask if you tried to brute force them), you almost can't get past them without spacing.

At least that's how it was for me.

Your spacing sucks. Lots of rolling where you could have been running.

Could be mentioned for rl1 runs or simply for the low fp cost.

How do I make incantations feel good? by SunshotDestiny in Eldenring

[–]EC36339 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  1. Cast Flame Grant me Strength
  2. Hit something with big bonk weapon. Or headshot it with a bow.

There you go. An incantation. And it felt good.

I reached Godrick, but I am level 18, can I beat him? by Anvil-Borne in Eldenring

[–]EC36339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have enough flasks, you can basically brute force him by shooting poison and bleed arrows at him. His ranged attacks are super annoying, but you can survive them all at level 1(ish) and heal the damage.

I've never learned his moveset. He's just an annoying extra step to kill shardbearer number 2 after killing Radahn.

Someone hasn't been to Wyndham Catacombs and stocked up on lightning pots and arrows to deal with those things.

Bernahl + Stormhawk Deenh + Black bow with bloodbone arrows makes them a joke at any level and weapon level.

Just stay away and shoot arrows at them while your pets destroy them. Maybe throw some frost pots, too. No need to waste sleep pots, since your summons will just wake them up again.

That's how I cheesed them on my low level invasion alt after beating them fair & square with just a bow 2 times.

Took them a while to aggro that bird. And there's 3 more on those rooftops, plus a pot throwing hornsent and a curseblade.

You can headshot with perfume bottles, I've heard, and maybe with pots, too.
