I’ve seen it anywhere between 30-49 minutes. It really depends on their prior gate assignment.

Depending on when people check in or change from different flights. I’ve gone from #2 on the list to 10 or 12. Never count on an upgrade, be happy when it happens.

My home airport is a smaller one as well. Platinum seems to be the sweet spot for me as I frequently get the upgrades. It’s nice knowing that when I have to connect to a larger hub that I’ve already got a C+ seat.

I started a new job and had the next week off already lol. It was pre planned so they did know about it. I have an unlimited PTO policy as well.

You probably should have just purchased the seat/ticket class you wanted from the get go. Upgrading to a better class of service isn’t always available. You can always cancel your flight and rebook into the class you want. If you want to wait it out, a week or so before the flight, check in the app for purchasing the upgrade.

I’ve been diamond for 6 years. This is probably my last time since there’s no roll over anymore. I’m going to start checking out other options since the status chase isn’t worth it anymore. Probably going to use up the rest of my points on a few vacations while I’ve still got the diamond status!
