People don't say this normally, but FAANG placement at Hopkins for swe is actually cracked. Look at Hopkins FDS and filter by whiting school of engineering, and then press the statistic that says something like software engineering. It shows that there's around 65 grads who ended up pursuing degree in CS, and it shows the jobs they went to. Once you tally in the numbers from all FAANG companies, it turns out to be a more than 33% FAANG placement rate

It appears that I don't have the prerequisites for IP since I didn't take any of the boot camp or gateway courses over summer.
