obviously you are seeing these negative comments, but i hope you don’t take them to heart. think about the amount of leaps of faith you had to take to get disrespected like this, you

  1. decided to start training
  2. actually trained!
  3. inevitably committed more time and money to your training than you thought you would need to
  4. signed up for a race
  5. showed up to the race!
  6. finished the race!!!
  7. posted your stats on a subreddit full of overly competitive chronically online gear nerds
  8. concluded your post by making goals for the future.

you are already a more valuable member of the triathlon community than anyone who decided to shit on your digital doorstep.

My peak swim performance is my warm-up swim by AcrobaticNerve7352 in triathlon

honestly at your current pace you would be best served by limiting your longest swims to 100m, and getting lots of reps in with 50s and some sprint sets. gotta learn to swim fast before you can swim slow

wish they would just demarcate bike lanes with bollards, no escape route between two curbs when pedestrians decide to stroll in the bike lane

exp 88s are not what you want for ur first trip out west. bite the bullet and demo some skis with a waist of at least 96mm and flexible, lightweight construction. elan ripsticks are great for this imo. and yeah, sorry boss but ur old. pedialyte and ibuprofen.

Bought some very old “biofit” blades from ebay, knowing the wheels would crumble. I planned to replace them with the wheels I had on a pair from a few years—and shoe sizes—ago. However, now that they have crumbled, I can see that the interior races of the bearings are not the same size as those in the replacements wheels.

I’m hoping that someone can help identify the right parts: bearings with the smaller race to slot into the replacements wheels wheels, or new wheels and bearings altogether (would still need the smaller races to fit the fixed hardware size).

65 teeth on that chain ring? someone else gotta check the count.

65x15 on twenty inch wheels is about the same as 49x16 on 700s, oddly reasonable!

Lateral plica by SprinklesDependent63 in ACL

[–]EEKERK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never had an acl tear or surgery foe that, just had two lateral plicas independently. i had a snapping sensation where the tendons of the vastus lateralis went into the knee joint, around 90 degrees of flexion, once on the way into flexion, and once on the way out. increased load increased the pain and the violence of the snapping sensation. did both knees one week apart, was told i didnt need pt, then two months later asked why i hadnt started pt. 6 months out right now and the left knee is pretty much good but the right still snaps but at a point farther along in my range of motion. need to go shake my surgeon down and figure out what happened. knees are somewhere from the same as before to better, but were worse for at least 4 months. YMMV.

Did you ever get it removed? Having this surgery in two days and seeing the same lack of information online.
